Personally I think people faff to much, I rewick once or twice a week depending on what juice I'm vaping, I've had the same coil @ .7 ohm(ribbon not sure on spec)in my spheroid for well over 6 months. Same with my gennies just swap out the mesh or give it a rinse and slip it back in. ;)

I agree.. once I get a coil working well, it pretty much stays in there.. I just remove the cotton if its a change of juice. Dry burn, wash, dry burn and rewick. The only time I rebuild is when I've messed up the coil from rewicking.

I do have a few devices that I keep messing about with, just for laughs but I don't tend to get the time to become a shoalin coil master, and I think its more fun vaping it than building it : )

I'd not disagreeing with you. The post was mostly about lower end stuff, I should have quoted the guy using a premade coil for a month. Been a long time since I used a genny but I remember just burning them clean.

I only rebuilt the Lemo because I thought the coil I made initially may have had too small a diameter and could've been contributing to the dry hits I was getting. Haven't bothered wicking it again yet, just did the Billow instead and it's working like a beast, dual coil 0.4ohms at 50W, amazing flavour and clouds and I can chain vape it without any dry hits. Will still need to play around with the Lemo more but at the moment, despite the small leaking issues, I'd say the Billow is a much better tank.

Chucked some Emperor from Trip Hammer in it, another tobacco flavour, I think I do generally prefer the sweeter fruit/pudding flavours but it's a nice change!

Feel like an amateur in this thread but I'm really loving my iStick mini + GS16S tank that it comes with. I've found a little shop local to me that stocks the normal iStick so I've had a bit of a comparison and I'm really happy with the mini. It's obviously not as powerful but it's still more than enough for me to get a good throat hit and a big cloud of vape, so I'm pretty chuffed with it. The shop stocks the Nautilus Mini too, so I think I will upgrade to that soon, but the GS16S is small enough that I'll hang on to it for when I need something small. The instruction manual says that I should stay between 3.3v & 4v with the GS16S tank, but I've found anything above 3.7 gives me a burnt taste, so I'm quite keen on trying the Nautilus at 5v.

The shop sells a ton of liquid in a few different nicotine levels, so right now I'm switching between "Cobra Venom" & "Black Ice" at 12mg, I'm really liking both of them right now.

I just have a couple of questions. Right now, I've got separate BDC Atomizers for each flavour, and I'm just rinsing out the tank when I swap the liquid, is there anything else I should be doing? I've read some stuff about cleaning the Atomizers but is it really worth it, or am I just as well using a new £2 atomizer when they're done?

Car keys for scale, it really is tiny.

If it's the "Black Ice" that I think it is (can't remember the maker, but it's in a glass bottle with dropper?) I LOVE THAT STUFF.

It's the most brutal menthol I've had, and by god I think it's fantastic. Blasts your head off.

Did I not suggest getting the istick 30w and nautilus in the first place huh? Now you have a woman's vaping kit (said in the tone of that blackader episode)!

Joking aside, we all been there, when we first start you never know if your going to keep with it so spending cash is a bit..

Anyway for the atomisers, it's really up to you. Me personally, I give them a quick risen and dry burn them in between juices, some heavy juices; is worth having its own coil, so lighter juices I don't even bother, I just flush it out with the new flavour.

You can rebuild the coils, but I just wash them out and pop them in a bag, there's a dude that collects them to rebuild and sell, it's not worth my time and effort to rebuild them, esp when I can get them in bulk for so cheap. So people rebuild to save cash, some rebuild as they prefer the taste/vape of 'theirs', so people rebuild cos they don't have anything else better to do..

In theory if used correctly the atomisers should last a very long time, hence the convo before.. But my kanger heads with my juices last me anout a week.

Well ordered a large vape stash for this month this morning.

Plume Veil in Black
28g Kanthal spool
Drip Tip
Ohms Checker
100ml of Custard from Spectrum Vaping
100ml of Strawberr Milkshake from Spectrum Vaping
8x10ml Custards testers from Isle of Custard

My mate just gave me 30ml of Queens Custard from VapingKing as payment for his PC rebuild, also gave me 10ml of Mrs B's Vanilla Custard.

Roll on vape mail.

Got the holes in the TOBH drilled out today so now have a nice long airflow section.

Much nicer, took an age but luckily the armory at my place wasn't busy.

I like the air flow on the tobh, its just about right for me.. I got a 1 ohm dual coil build, where its halve covered by airflow blocker.

Huzzah! Think I've cracked the wicking on the Lemo, still got the 0.7ohm coil but now running it at 33W - the thicker wick seems to have done the trick. Can't really push it any more without getting dry hits though and I'd like a bit more vapour production, so think I'll be putting in a new coil with a bigger diameter when fasttech eventually sends me some thicker wire. Fairly happy with it though for now.

Also cracked the Billow wicking, no more leaks! Even left it on the Sigelei overnight and it didn't leak at all, very impressed with it.

Trip Hammer's Strawberry is freaking delicious.

Guys my new subohm tank is great looking but im finding it a bit harsh. I can pull the smoke in, throat hit is too much and my lungs tighten up abit, then i start wheezing? Get a slight headache too. Im using the 0.5ohm coil at 20w. The e liquid nicotine strength is 12mg.
Im ok with the pro tank 2, 2.2 ohms 3.6v with same e liquid. What shall i do? Shall i try the 1.2 ohm coil?

Thanks

Try 100% VG, all my probs disappeared with that and also maybe 6mg.

I need a home for my two new samsung 18650s... I'd ordered before christmas from fasttech for some of my mods, and since then I've already got other batteries for those mods.

I'm waiting on the sx mini m class, due out later this month, but is there any other mod I could be looking at getting in the meantime?

I've got the 50w or less pretty much covered now, I'm just looking at 50w+ or parallel box mod. :)

I got four vape mail packages today :D Yub four!

I have to say a BIG thank you to chris74 for the 'thing', I'm not sure what to call it lol, but it's arrived today, thank you again.. I shall return the flavor when possible :)

I'm going to assume that efest batteries from myepack are legit? it's the only efest battery, 18500 I got that didn't come with genuine protection sticker.

I'm still waiting on two packages from the two biggest online stores  ukecig and tw to arrive, then I do a massive post with all my new joys. lol

Some some vape mail today 50ml of Merlin juice from VapingKing

Its amazing. Fruity menthol, tastes fantastic. Still waiting for any of my custards!

Hmm thought id post my experience with a B&M shop today in doncaster, ive been searching for a decent place for a while and had no such luck till today, popped in and was quite surprised, they stocked the subtank-atlantis type things etc along with the usual little starter kits branded with cloudstix (which actually is a decent company from a quick google) they seemed rather clued up to be honest, which makes a change from people thinking its easy money selling blister packs and cheap horrible juice - juices ive tried 2 so far and wow they are nice tasting, ones a fruity type mix and the other is absinthe or something to that effect, all UK made with certificates for the nic etc think i spent almost £40 in there, considering i wasnt planning on doing so :p

Guess not all B&M shops are rubbish after all.

Aspire make some batteries that fit perfectly with Nautilus mini tanks.

I ended up getting one of these, the premium kit. I saw it in the high street store and thought it made a nice little box gift, plus it has variable voltage so it's a nice little starter setup for him. Having compared the mini tank to the full size tank I thought the mini was better quality. Thanks :)
