So I built the rba head for the subtank mini and it works, though its really really hot vaping with it, only at 15w, is it supposed to be like that.......

*edit* ah dammit, i had not locked the voltage and it had gone upto 38w in my pocket. :p

my latest setup.... next to an istick 20w... :D

Awesome little mod, very happy. Accidentally put 25w through the RDA from my kanger subtank mini and got the dryest hit ever lol.

The Atlantis sings at 40w!

Good vape week.

I've got myself a Sigelei 150W + Doge V2 after discovering 100% PG solves all my issues. Haven't had a fag since this discovery.
Gave a mate at work a Nautilus mini, a couple of twist batteries and my spare 18mg juice. He stopped smoking a week ago.
My missus is the same, found her a nice VG tobacco and she's done; she likes aerotank mini and slimline ego twist battery.

I decided to rebuild my Lemo again in the hope of getting similar performance to the Billow, this time went for a dual coil of 26g kanthal and came out to 0.4ohms. The first few hits were great but I noticed it wasn't wicking properly again - I'd use quite a lot of cotton but I'd left the channels free and it just didn't seem to be wicking at all, no air bubbles were coming up. So I googled and found this on reddit:

"it also seems to get vapor locked. after filling it, i tend to have to carefully hold the glass down then undo the top just enough that an air bubble comes up. once the correct pressure is set (2 or 3 bubbles after 4 or 6 hits) it seems to correct the wicking issues."

So I gave that a try, held the glass down in place and slightly unscrewed the top, an air bubble came up so I tightened it up again, and then 6 or so more air bubbles followed! Now it's wicking perfectly, running it at 50W with no dry hits - think I'll be retiring the Billow after the next tank is empty, it started leaking again without me changing anything from when it wasn't working at all, too annoying. Lemo wins!

Edit: I'll probably keep playing with the Billow actually and hopefully I'll be able to master the wicking to stop the leaks, but now that I've got the Lemo performing similarly I'd say it's much better overall.

I seriously need to reduce the ramp up time on the 18350/derringer build..
I got dual 14 (maybe 17, can't remember at the moment lol) 28awg in 3mm coils coming to a nice safe 1.5ohm but the ramp up time is like 4 mins not 4 secs lol, once shes there; she's nice and hot but it takes some doing!

What's the best way of me doing this?
Single coil? Using 32awg, smaller 1mm coils all of them? Or none of them?

Thanks in advance.

Guys, just recently got a 4nine mod clone. Nicely machined and looks pretty sweet.

However, getting this working is a nightmare. Fires very inconsistently and normally only when I push the button in at an angle. I swear I sometimes get a bit of a shock every now and again meaning a short.

I got the button in. Magnet in the plastic disk attached to the battery so it repels against the switch and the hybrid connector all fit. The atty makes connection with top of battery. Used both flat and button top batteries.

HALP please!

Finally tried Grants custard yesterday and can actually say with all certainty now, after trying nearly a dozen different custard ejuice variants, I dislike them all; thank you.

What's the connection on the atty like? the pin needs to protrude from the side of the 510 connection. Try unscrewing it out more, but be careful as some atties center pin will move with the screwing.

Try tried vapemunki's gentleman's relish? I don't like custard, but the lemon after taste makes this rather nice.

Not tried that, though Mothers Milk, the strawberry flavour was nice though totally ruined by the Custard tones which all taste the same and like fake flavouring.
Also VapeKings Monkey Jizz, the custard tones again were nasty and with the fake bannana, t'is the only juice so far that almost brings me to heave.

If you want to keep the same ohm, then i reducing the diameter, or using thinner wire would improve things a lot, say 2mm diameter 32g around 9 wraps. should get it fizzing in no time!

Cheers Slinxy, but tried all that. I just can't figure it out. Mind boggling. To make things worse I have just got the hybrid connector stuck to me Rose V2, and now I am at work without any chance of fixing it...

Go with a smaller diameter, Microcoils and it'll be chucking!

There should a hole in the hybrid connector, pop a screwdriver in there and you should be able to turn the connector to unscrew it. :) goodluck

p.s. its been like 5/6 days since IceShock has posted on this thread. I am starting a search party.. who's with me?

He's reached his nirvana of subohming and have raptured away with his vapour.. lol (I have seen him post in other threads)

sorry mate, no idea! Sounds like you've done everything right. I got mine in August, used it daily, battered it, dropped it etc. It works like a champ every time. The nature of clones I guess. which one did you get? I see there are a few on fasttech

Cheers, I got mine form ecigwarehouse; http://www.ecigwarehouse.co.uk/4nine-style-mechanical-mod.html.

Says I should have recieved a spare magnet but I haven't. Maybe this will help to use as a spacer? I have emailed them asking if they could send one out.

It's a lovely looking mod, will be a shame if I can't get it to work. Where did you get yours from?
