Fifty Shades Of Grey costume row at school.

1st world problems...

I really do not see what the fuss is about. Maybe the cable ties were a bit much.. still. As people have pointed out, much worse things you can go as.

Those comparing this to Hitler need to re-evaluate imo.

Fictional character in a book about the perhaps wilder side of consensual sex vs a man who committed genocide by the millions.

Lol, no the book is not about her exploring her sexuality in a consensual manner.

I haven't read the books; can you please enlighten me as to what it is about?

My understanding it was a love story that pivoted around borderline masochistic sex? That was consensual.

I've not read the book either, but from what I've heard there is a scene which is clearly non-consensual.

I once flew Belfast to Newcastle, I was made to take a pack of cable ties out of my luggage.

I never thought of them in Bondage games terms until this morning.

I can see both points of view, if the kids was 16 then fair enough but 11 is a bit young to be making this point.

I dont think the airlines are worried about acts of erotica on their flights

"Liam was advised to dress as James Bond... but [he] was a promiscuous character who kills people," she said."

She has a point you know.

Yup

Or she could have given him a hat and replica tommy gun and sent him back as a gangster.

Explicit reference to brutal violence - absolutely fine for kids... I mean boys are supposed to play at killing each other, play with plastic toy guns etc.... Subtle reference to sex... no the horror, murder and violence is fine but OMG what could a sexual reference do to their fragile little minds.

Our society is still feeling the effects of the sexual repression of Victorian society.

Plenty of women like to be dominated, many have rape fantasies too - then again the male in question is a powerful/wealthy man.

The male in question is an 11 yearold and the mother is a complete and utter moron who looks like she fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.

This...
This argument against Bond doesn't really wash with me and I am suspicious of those saying they think it's just as bad....really?

Kids have long pretended to be police, soldiers, spies and action heroes. Toy guns and gadgets line the shelves of Toys R Us and have done for years.

I have never known any child play games where they pretend or act out sexual fetishes, toy bondage crops, restraints and eye masks are not made for children to play with for a good reason.

And this....

Stop the planet, I want to get off...

Lol wut

Did he bend his teacher over the desk and try and whip her

What is it with Britain and America these days… With the rise of pupil/teacher affairs. I remember one time it never ever happened in school. Sure. plenty of rumours, in fact hoaching about rumours but never about pupil and teacher. Some were once about a female English teacher that used to be in the porn industry.

I'm totally behind the school, what a stupid thing to send your kid as to school, I'd go as far as guess that it was all a stunt to get on tv, I know lets send little jonny into school as Christian Gray and then shout about how unfair it is to all the news agencies.

If the child knows what 50 shades is (or has been exposed to it), it could be classed as child abuse.
