Do you switch your TV to "GAME MODE" ?

For PS4 yes, though I play mostly fighting games where input lag plays a big part. Assuming you also play FPS leave it on. For SP stuff I'd rather have the best possible picture so you could turn it off for that.

Same as some of the above, Panasonic ST50, have the Xbox360 input saved in Game Mode, with all other inputs as True Cinema. Not sure I notice much difference, but supposedly it also helps reduce burn in for static elements (HUD, health bars etc)

Nope because it looks like crap. The picture looks much nicer in normal TV mode.

No I don't use game mode, not sure if my TV has one, I've just used a custom picture set up for all my HDMI inputs.

Never noticed any input lag...maybe I can use that as an excuse on why I lose at FIFA ;)

I have always used Game mode if it's available as when playing FPS games the response is far quicker, with it off, you can feel and see a delay in the onscreen movement compared to your input.

Mine has always been set on Game Mode and I think without it, my TV displays things worse. My TV is only an 32" LCD but at the time, I paid a little extra than what I could have bought one for because it had better colours. Little more input lag though so Game Mode helps.

However I don't use Game Mode on my new monitor for my PC.

I have it turned off, the picture quality is just awful on my tv with it on. I notice the lag but it's not that big and I've kind of just, dealt with it.

In certain games I turn on PC mode on my tv, the PQ goes to crap but it's definitely needed. This is most noticed in fast paced input games like OllieOllie

My TV adds all its fancy functions, too much sharpness and too much brightness when in GAME mode. I like my blacks to be black so I generally use a custom set for games and another for movies.

You sure? It should be removing most things to remove input/display lag. Perhaps it just moves sliders to factory settings?

My PS4 I use game mode - as its to much hassle to take my tv off the wall to put a new cable in for the xbox one it doesnt use game mode - just going into my amp - i cant really tell any difference tbh.

Never even thought about it. I'm one of these people who just stick the TV on and leaves it on whatever settings it comes on. I notice no input lag, and the picture quality for everything is brilliant so I've never bothered looking into it beyond that.

Might have a play about with it this weekend and see if I can see any differences.

I'll check it tonight. Pretty sure when I used it (years ago mind you) it made everything seem artificially weird - like when some TV's can make bluray too fluent and it just looks wrong. Deffo not happy with the sharpness and brightness though. I'll have a play around tonight to see what it's actually adding/taking away.

I tried turning it off while playing the last of us. It's a bit like wading through mud it just seems a bit slow to do everything. I suppose as I use my ps4 as my bluray player I should turn it off for that. I also realise different tv's differ in input lag.
