nVidia announce the Titan X at GDC 2015

I bet even if the 390x performs just as well, or better than the Titan it will still sell worse, hardware isn’t AMD’s biggest battle imo.

I have been very disappointed by NVidia recently and vowed not to buy anymore hardware from them but the lure is still there, they do know how to make things appealing and part idiots from their money…

I'd be extremely surprised to see the Titan X outsell the 390x, maybe if it still does have the compute performance there but even so I don't believe the original Titan outsold the 290x.

You're talking about a price point the majority of PC gamers will never touch, the Titan X seems popular on here but that's because most people committed to buying are enthusiasts and the hype always builds before release.

Are you saying Nvidia customers are idiots and AMD customers are not ?
 
Point being we don't know the TitanX price, but Gibbo gave the biggest hint:

And 390x is a single GPU, right? When have AMD ever launched a single GPU at more than £500?
 
AMD don't have the marketing to sell a £500+ single card well.

Even the 295x2 had to come down to about £700 before people started snapping them up.

Depending on what I get for the 980's I should be able to get 2. I'm glad the Acer XB270HU is pushed back a bit as I would have to wait for more cash to come in or just credit card it to get that too.

Any thoughts on the brand this time round ?
