I've now got 4 bikes in the garage and need to sort out proper storage. Should I go for stands, hooks or wall mounted arms? My thoughts are-

Stands - bikes will be in the way a bit. Are they stable enough that they won't going the way of the domino when I try and get the lawn mower out?

Hooks - Is it healthy to suspend a bike by its wheel? My MTB only got one outing last year, will this banana a wheel in this period of time?

Wall mounted - All my bikes have cables running along the top tube, will this stretch them if they are pinched against the frame?

So in other words I haven't got a clue :o

I mount mine with wall hooks. As long as you hang them by the rear wheel then it's fine. Hanging by the front wheel buts stress on the headset, in my opinion.

Cool, that is the cheapest and easiest solution as well.

EDIT - SDK, sorry I missed your post, looking at the link now thanks :)

Cheers for the info on the inners.

So...random question regarding groupsets.

Using pricing from Wiggle/CRC primarily the Ultegra + hydraulic discs setup I'm going for will be about £680 total. I've looked around and I can't find any way to really lower that price, which I'm surprised about. I've semi-considered buying an Ultegra set by itself from somewhere like Merlin and trying to sell the spare bits but I'm not convinced that I'll be successful enough with that to make it worth it from a monetary point of view (and certainly not a time point of view). Does anyone have any thoughts/tips?

I've also looked at purchasing a full SRAM Force hydraulic disc groupo but that worked out at even more money and I'm not sold on it being worth the extra cash.

Thanks for suggesting the inner tubes, ran out the other day :)

Btw, you need to order 11 to qualify for free delivery.

Just found out I gotta work this weekend, 3rd weekend in a row now :/ Determined to not let it effect my mileage increase.

I tried to order 8 of them with a can of GT85. The payment process froze on two occasions and now I've given up.

I had an "oh no, something went wrong" error the first time but the second time it went through. Perhaps the site is overloaded by all the OcUKers buying hundreds of inners :p

I'd be waiting to see how the 4iiii thing turns out after a revision or so. Too many things have good intentions then fail so easily! Someone will mess it up or it'll fall off in the Scottish winters as some rocket would still be using it.

Dodgy bar bike is looking pretty again, I started to clean up the crap and discovered holes in the bars!

Also seems to be a good few weeks for putting tubs on. These are just a bit light but also make your wallet light at £1200...FFWD F2R tubs.

I'm assuming it's sweat...it's a carbon Look 566 so not really winter bike material.

I ended up changing the headset too as the top cap was corroded onto the bung too from sweat dripping in. Thought I'd better get in there and get grease in before it was too late.
