Someone stole my wing mirror covers

My brother in law had the tiny lip spoiler ripped off his 3 series. £100 part and about £500 of damage

Had a Saxo VTS and some scrote smashed the rear window to nick the spoiler, it had a weird installation that meant it was fixed to the rear screen rather than the bodywork, so that meant whoever nicked it would need a new rear screen anyway! Police gave me q crime number over the phone and didn't even bother coming out.

Anyhoo - had a Renault 19 16V mk2 years ago and someone stole the metal alloy nut covers. Never bothered to replace them :/

Possible they were after the plates/swapping plates and got disturbed - its incredible what people will steal so as not to pay even a tiny amount though :S

That's what I was worried about then because the car was parked in a council estate. Been over a year now since it happened. A bit odd though as the car in question is a 1.2 corsa

My thefts over the years...

A wheel from my mk2 Golf. They just lifted the car, took the wheel and left the car hanging. Not even on bricks.

A door handle from another Golf. I think they cut that off to get the lock to source a key to steal the car later. So I changed the locks.

A BBS centre cap from the wheel of my Corrado.

Because with body parts on Ford's most of them come off if you just ask them nicely

Only had the aerial nicked off mine thank god, couldn't imagine something bigger like bumpers or skirts nicked

I've just remembered the countless VW badges that I had stolen when the Beastie Boys were all the rage (if your too young to know what I'm talking about they were a band in the 90s that wore VW badges around their necks, so you would often come home to someone having stolen your badge and wrecked your front grille).

I was really upset when the skirts were nicked, I sold the car not long after that. When I went to Ford to get new ones the guy in the body shop said it was happening a lot and a girl had the bumpers, skirts and headlights pinched from her Fiesta ST.

To add insult to injury the colour match on my replacement skirts was pretty bad too (orange).

Oddly enough I think someone did the same to my Focus wing mirror cover. Went out one morning and the cover was missing. Some chips around the edge where it looks like a screw driver was forced down to prise it off. I suppose it is possible some careless driver has hit the mirror, knocked it off and not bothered to leave a note. But I looked high and low all over the street and the cover was nowhere to be found.
