nVidia announce the Titan X at GDC 2015

Does help that you've had the fastest single GPU ;) that will soon change though I guess.

I'm trying to hold out (within reason), and make the biggest jump I can performance wise.

I'm only interested in a single gpu solution, but I do game at 2560 x 1600, so I
could do with some extra performance.

We all know the price is not right but it's hard to resist new hardware, wonder if there is a GPUs anonymous? But seriously I fell for the original Titan and it's the old fool me once thing with this I guess. The 780Ti came out for cheaper and faster later, but not all of us have the patience so I can't blame anyone for getting the Titan X.

yes but the Titan X is beginning to go stale on me, i sense ``be careful Mal``, the 390X will be much cheaper and maybe only 2 to 10 percent less powerful......but i'm also thinking about the 390X2 Dual, because the rumours say there will deffo be one.

it's pretty obvious that the TITAN X will be roughly the power it is rumoured to be now, but what will be interesting is its Overclock and price.

if AMD is real smart, it has a massive advantage right now, but what you have to ask yourself is.........``are AMD as dumb as they appear``. because in some ways, it looks like they've out flanked Nvidia without having to do a damn thing !!!!

i'm desperate to buy something, i cant hold out much longer, but i cant blow 1000 quid right now and regret it in June....because i sodding will

£830 the bare minimum imo. We never get the exact exchange rate from experience, there is always a bit on top.

it'll only be that price at launch ...... because as soon as stocks run out and the next shipment is delayed 2 weeks, the next price will be +100 quid..........they did this with the GTX 970, but it only went up 30 quid because it's base price is miles less.

expect the first shipment to run out in 1.5 weeks

Exactly what I was thinking. Launch price is inevitably the cheapest price though not sure I can justify the 800 odd.

Will probably sit it out and wait for the 390x, with the difference left over I can invest in a 144 1440P monitor.

It's not a popular benchmark on HWBot, so hard to really get a proper idea.
8400 graphics @1800 boost for the 980, so a proper overclock will be better than this. Knowing that, it does seem way too high to be true :(
