Samsung opens Italian pre-orders for Galaxy S6
Monday 16 March 2015 | 10:08 CET | News
Samsung Electronics Italia has started taking pre-orders for its latest flagship devices, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The pre-order period runs from 16 March until 09 April and anyone finalising the purchase prior to 30 April will receive a free Wireless Charger Kit. The Galaxy S6 is available at an RRP of EUR 739 for the 32GB model and EUR 849 for the 64GB version. The Galaxy S6 Edge, meanwhile, is priced at EUR 889 for the 32GB and EUR 999 for the 64GB model. The handsets will be available for pre-order at all major consumer electronic outlets and mobile operator stores, as well as at www.samsung.it.

Just noticed through Quidco you can get 3% cashback on all sales directly through the Samsung UK site...so it will be interesting to see the price they put it up at.

The wireless charger offer would certainly be a bonus.

Unfortunately there's little chance of front-racing speakers on a flagship Samsung in the coming years. They've just gone for the full-on premium look-and-feel and front-facing speakers would go against that.

Mono on the side, we're a third of the way, may be the Note 5's greater real estate will allow stereo front facers.

Front facing/stereo speakers don’t bother me. The physical size of a phone means there is always going to pretty low bar in terms of the relative quality you can produce. For example, while the HTC One might boast having the best speakers on a smartphone, they are still horrible compared to even the cheapest desktop speakers. Are they really ‘the best’ speakers or just the ‘least tinniest’?

Secondly, I wouldn't have much use for them. Can’t stand people who use the loudspeakers on their phone in public and no matter how good my phone is I would never use it for major media consumption anyway.

Front facing stereo speakers enhance the media experience 10 fold. Mainly Youtube for while I'm having lunch or wherever. Stereo effects and clearer audio go along way. I don't want to be tethered to my phone or have to remember my headphones.

And with bezels this big, it should have had it. But as always, drip feeding features are the norm.

And people who use their loudspeakers in public will do it regardless of speaker quality, as they do it now anyway with mono ones.

Horse manure, it's the difference between having very tinny speakers and noticeably less, but still tinny none-the-less speakers.

Horse for courses but I'm not prepared to lose the physical home keys in order for slightly enhanced audio. I also think the finger print scanner is more useful.

How useful features are depends on the user. I don't expect everyone to agree on the same thing.

This argument always goes round in circles. People just need to realise other people have differents need to them.

Got to agree, speakers are VERY low down on my requirements list.

Getting harassed by CPW as I signed up for updates. They're ringing me constantly, answered a few times but they won't tell me any details

Anyone else spoke to them?

We may be close to seeing Pre-Order prices from the networks soon...

This^^

Having it water resistant is something I'd like.

I'll take the active version as long as it doesn't compromise or look like this..
