The HTC One Hima (M9) Thread

Spigen do that quite a bit afaik. Its happened before with the cases being really cheap so people try and buy them. They then claim it was lost.

I think I'll pop over to the rainforest and cancel me order judging by what is being said here it looks like it probably wouldn't turn up. In any case I'm still not sure when/if I'm going to buy the M9.

Now if someone did the Samsung G6 Curve with htc software that would be a winner, despite Samsung saying they've reduced the bloatware I cant bring myself to like their flavour of Android.

HTC were in work today with these. I get its meant to combine elements of the M7 and M8, but it's neither as striking as the M7 or as nice to hold as the M8. To me it feels like a compromise, and ultimately, very indistinct.

My parcel is also 'lost', got a refund

One of mines has been cancelled and refunded with the other case being shipped again as it was in stock still.

I am leaning towards the Galaxy S6 more and more as I read about it, there just appears to be a few more features like the wireless charging, having OIS on the Camera and many more that make it start to sound appealing.

I've seen the sample shots the M9 has so far and they aren't great, I know it's preview software however how much will it improve by in the final release? Or even the review units.

I'm keeping my pre-order up for now and really it's starting to hinge on what the reviews say and how the camera software hopefully improves the low light performance of the rear camera.

The phone was supposed to be released today in Taiwan but has been delayed citing software issues.

I'm hoping it's related to the Camera and they manage to sort out that mess of a noise on nightime/dark shots.

In the interest of fairness, HTC have said it's not running final software and these temps only happened during bechmark testing. Normal operation and gaming saw results at about 42 degrees.

I'm starting to get a little concerned with the launch though, so much so that I've cancelled my pre-order with Vodafone.

Can someone summarize quickly what the situation is? Has there been a short delay?

A delay in dispatch of units in their home country.

Nobody knows how long for/what the reason is. Rumours abound it is a simple software fix to stop an infinite boot loop to the temps being crazy hot and a software control to help control this.

That's all there is to it at the moment and no hint as to whether this will effect other territories around the globe.

I'm going to be cancelling my pre-order for the phone as many of the issues so far reported are pretty worrying. The problem I have is that despite the right decision in placing a proper Phone Camera...Camera on the back it just doesn't seem to perform that well especially in low light situations. Sure software updates will help but it's worrying that the preview units went out with this not being sorted before hand.

The Galaxy S6 however at the moment with all it's additional features and performance so far is encouraging. They seem to have built the near-perfect package for someone like myself who doesn't rely on the use of an SD Card, it's one of those nice to haves and for me I don't really need it. Being back on a Lumia 930 at present I've rediscovered my love for wireless charging and doubt I could be without that now.

Seen a review of this on a Dutch site iirc. It's looking a bit crap at the moment. Phone temperatures are awful thanks to the 810 being a bit of a rush job and the battery life is barely above a nexus 5 and is way off what the M8 could do. This is not good seeing as the 810 is supposed to be more efficient and the phone has a larger battery.

HTC say its non final software but they have said this multiple times before, they said the purple tint on the M7 was software but we all know now it was a hardware issue that was so common that they offered free replacements.

Ouch, got a link mate?

Tbh I've went right off the phone the more I've thought about it. The S6 offers so much more despite it's lack of an SD slot this year round. I'll no doubt return if HTC brings something exciting in terms of the HTC One M10.

I did receive my 99p Spigen slim case though...I'll wait until someone on the forums confirms they have the M9 and see if they want it for nowt :p
