must be the mental quad power
Probably
I was losing traction on a 15% the other day. Damp rough surface. Didn't cause any issues but I could feel it slip.
Crocknorth
I was out of the saddle and taking it relatively steady (new PB but had plenty left in the tank) and it was slipping on every push.
When I am standing and powering up hills I have problems keeping the rear wheel on the ground - My pedal uplift stroke pulls it up.
I can have a skittish front when really pushing but that's only on a gradual slope on part of my commute from a standing start... You guys are prob pumping too hard?! When I'm standing I'm semi-grinding so trying to keep constant pressure through the pedal stroke... If i pump I blow up real quick lol

Kop hill near me on the steepest section near the end when it's 18-19% I've pulled a few wheelies by mistake, but not lost traction so far.
There's quite a few places near where I used to live that I've done in the car/van multiple times and I'd really like to cycle them... But would need some serious training first!
They'd all be fantastic, but part of the problem with the nice weather is the amount of cars on them... Caravans and motorhomes crawling over them would be slower than me cycling them!
Maybe one day...
anything like that worth doing around london?
Not with any climbing...
On my commute home the clicking 'noise' when pedalling got worse... I even stopped and checked my chainring bolts and pedals at one point. Now it has made this noise before and I took it to my LBS and they said some dirt had got in near the cranks so to make sure I clean that area thoroughly. The noise reappeared 2 weeks ago and I've cleaned the bike 3 times since then and it's getting worse!
How do you guys clean your BB/crank area?
I took my one crank off and removing the spring 'spacer' thing there was no way into the actual BB (but there must be to replace bearings etc!).
From the other side there was no obvious way to get the other crank off or any way to get into the BB to clean anything?
I cleaned all around here as best I could, but within a mile or so the noise was back and as the weeks gone on (only 4 commutes lol) it's getting much worse!
I'm planning on cycling to work tomorrow, leaving early and cycling to the LBS to see what's going on. I don't doubt it is road grime getting behind the cranks and into the BB area again, I just don't know how to stop it! OR how to get in there myself to clean it!

I'm not totally convinced there's not a knackered (faulty/rusted) bearing. The bike is only 4 months old (and done 400 miles) so will be annoyed if it is - especially as they've already looked at it! I'll admit it was sorted after they did, but a few days later the noise was back...
