US: The Walking Dead Season 5 (contains spoilers)

they're not smart at all. every safe place they've got involved with has gone to ****. the farm, the prison, woodbury, the cannibal place and now this place.

the smart people are the people who create the havens. rik and his group come in, think they're better because they've been dumb enough to never form a long term base and have to rough it in the wilderness and thus pick up a few basic skills in killing.

the preacher is right. they are the devil in disguise and have left a trail of death and destruction in their path.

I agree with some of what you are saying however I don't really see it as Ricks groups fault.
The Farm: It was remote and they were safe until a random horde strolled through. Lesson learnt, get bigger fences.
The prison: bigger fences, only fell as a lunatic drove a tank through them.
Cannibal place: Well how could they have seen that one coming?

They did what they had to to survive, that's the point of the show really.

remind yourself why the tank was there....

Because some mental, twisted **** found it, who was after revenge after losing a war that he started. He then convinced a bunch of ordinary decent folk to attack a bunch of strangers they didn't know in a prison, behind fences and follow him to certain death.

'Bout sums it up for me... sorry I don't see where that is their fault?

Exactly! Gov was raged that ricks gang stealthed into woodbury and shot the place up. Why? Because they KIDNAPPED and tortured Glenn/Maggie. Justified for sure.

They did a such a poor job of clearing that building, it was a complete failure. haha These new people are complete idiots, even more stupid than the original lot. Shooting a grenade when the police zombie had little chance of biting with the mask, with people shouting stop. I was surprised that they did not burn the place down. It was a good episode though, I don't think i remember seeing people eaten like that since the prison or even season 1.

But they made no attempt to use all the time they had to reinforce the defences, you have to work on the assumption a random horde will turn up at some point

The prison: bigger fences, only fell as a lunatic drove a tank through them.

Apart from the big hole at the back they never did anything about shoring up, so certain areas and the lower levels were always flooded with zombies

Cannibal place: Well how could they have seen that one coming?

That wasn't their fault, no

Yep, but I can see the point that 'in real life' you would focus those attentions on securing a base, not living hand to mouth surviving in the wild. But then, that wouldn't be as entertaining a show!

My theory, husband is aggressive towards wife, Rick intervenes. Husband seeks revenge. Causing a snowball effect within the walls of Alexandria.

Called it :D

Great idea with the revolving door! For some reason I thought Noah was going to turn out to be a relative of Morgans somewhere along the line and that they would keep him in. Shame.

Roll on next week!

I don't know why they didn't put the dude who was impaled out of his misery just before they ran off, could have just shot him in the head and saved him that gruesome death.

Couldn't have helped Noah the same way unfortunately for him :(

I was thinking the same but did they run out of ammo before then? I think it was the guy who ran away who had the ammo. I thought he would have a chance to live with the one puncture on the chest but then it showed multiple punctures and he was gone for then

With those wounds he would have bled to death if they pulled him off it. Even a knife to the heart would have been more merciful to him than letting him go the way he did.

We had a shot specifically of Darryl riding off so whatever happens in the camp, he'll come back, save everyone with the two arrows he's been using since season 2, grunt at Rick then go hunt some rabbits.

:D

As much as michone entering the building with her katana sheathed is annoying, Darryl shooting a zombie in the head then putting the bolt in his mouth bothers me more :D

There are so many little moments where I instantly think "what the **** are you thinking?". They don't seem to take any caution to things like scratches, zombies have apparently forgotten how to claw at people. It's been so long since i've seen the first couple of seasons but did they ever mention anything about getting blood in your mouth or eyes? Always does my head in when they go in shouting to kill a walker and it's some brutal kill where blood goes everywhere on their face with a risk of it going in the mouth.

didnt abraham get sliced by sashas knife which had just been inside a walker a few episodes back?

Aren't they all infected anyway and have to die to change into a Zombie. Saying that they lopped off the other blokes arm off a few episodes ago so maybe not.

I thought that in the lore it was the actual bite of the Zombie that causes an infection rather than the blood (The blood was the carrier of the virus in 28 days later). Isn't that why Michone smashed out their teeth and removed the jaws when she had them on leashes?
