This, discussing with my house mates what our TV habits are now - if no one watches live TV, its getting cancelled - annoyingly we only got a TV license a few months ago as they wanted to watch live TV, I've not had one for years and watched it on catch up- but lately no one is watching live TV - so they can loose my TV license money.
BBC needs scrapping.
They won't air it from what I've heard?
BBC needs scrapping.
Does that make people that support and like him right wing racists?
right decision. the world will go on without top gear and clarkson

the BBC are a corporation and corporations have rules about what is and is not acceptable behaviour.
Closet racists may be.
How is this the BBC's fault?
As much as I love watching Clarkson, the BBC are a corporation and corporations have rules about what is and is not acceptable behaviour. You can't make an exception for Clarkson just because he brings in a lot of money, it damages credibility and would cause the BBC untold grief in other ways.
The real problem is that successful people in media are often massive prima donnas, which isn't the BBC's fault either.
You simply cannot punch someone in a work environment and not be fired.
It genuinely drives me to despair that we live in a society where a significant number of people think that continuity of TV programming should trump creating a fair and equal workplace where violence and verbal assaults are not tolerated.
Look, I liked Top Gear. Whilst I didn't go out of my way to watch it unless it was a special or something interesting to me (I can only watch Clarkson in a super car race Hammond & May on any other mode of transport except a car to a random geographical meeting point so many times), I've found myself wasting away hours watching Youtube vids of the show and got many hours enjoyment from it.
However, creating a society that is equal as possible is more important to me than my desire to continue watching a good show. Yes, life isn't fair but that doesn't mean we shouldn't apply fairness where we can.
Unless you're raping children in dressing rooms, then it's perfectly acceptable for the corporation and it's lackeys to look the other way.
