*** The Official Bloodborne Thread ***

Farmed the first area this morning and levelled up my hp, end and str. Also levelled up weapons a bit. Can one shot a lot of mobs now so things do seem a lot easier. Feels more Demons than Dark to me. Loving the setting and atmosphere.

Its a shame to hear people arent happy with the game but it shows it isnt for everyone, i cant put myself back in the first souls game mindset but i can understand how it can be at the start. I had it when i imported demon souls, got quite a way in but eventually accepted defeat.

Also only just thought about covenants! I assume they arent in this, ive not seen any yet? Also not been invaded at all which is good really but thought i would have been by now ;)

Upto 5th boss now and its not as simple as the others for sure. Trying ludwing sword, seems really good. Just not a fan of the 2 hand mode

You will learn to love 2H mode. The charge attack will one shot medium hp enemies, most others will die in the follow through attack. It completely removes any risk of engaging most trash as if you time it right the enemy will die just as it enters attack range.

I tried this last night but it seemed to screw up for me. Suspend booted me back to the bloodborne menu and said only offline was available. It did try to connect but it kept failing.

It seemed to screw up everything and my system jammed up, so I had to hold down power button on ps4.

Maybe a blip but not the greatest experience trying suspend mode for the first time.

Do you have it set to keep internet going once in suspended mode? If not that might be why.

I think invasion works when you ring your bell for assistance, there's a slight chance you'll get invaded rather than helped by someone

just changed this at game

really beautiful game and great setting just couldn't get into it

keep going over the same level and same enemies to "level up" just feels like a silly mechanic and a bit of a cheat tbh

I've restarted. And the first werewolf type beast you see before you are meant to die so as you enter hunters dream and get a weapon, I so nearly had with my fist's... Bugger lol I'd have had him if I'd not got stuck between a table and he cornered me.

And axe is better for me then the saw cutter and r1 attacks are much quicker for me I have now discovered.

I shall give it more time :) i noticed l2 and r2 do different attacks aswell

I had the most awesome fist fight ever with him too - till I realised how to equip weapons :D

L2 seems ok as a combo finisher but I mainly use it for killing crows as it swipes down. You might find more uses for it than me :p

I only really use R2 for its charge attack. It doesn't really get used when i'm in the process of hacking something to death, R1 does a good enough job of that.

Anyone doing a dex build I recommend doing Eileen the Crow's sidequests, once complete it unlocks an awesome weapon (move set wise, I'm not sure how a fully upgraded one of it fairs against the cane but it goes two handed and is incredibly fast and great for stun locking, has S scaling with Dex at max although it scales well with arcane too which I wasn't sure how to make the most of) at the vendor in The Hunter's Dream. Alternatively if you can't be bothered you can just kill her.

Anyone found the secret area on the first level ?

when you go up onto the bridge with the 2 werewolfs, you go directly across the other side and down the stairs to a little area, and you can smash some boxes and drop down into like a sewer, there's loads of bodies to loot on the floor but I died on 1st attempt :(

just wondering if there's anything good down there worth going back to Find ?

Any tips for the cleric. :)

Don't lock on.

Run around behind him and charge R2 attacks if you're struggling IMO, he seems to react instantly to the first hit he receives regardless of what he is doing, so charge an R2 and move out or just get prepared to dodge

Mainly don't lock on and just run around him though

Just constantly run to get behind him yeah.

If he hits you you can usually just start beating on him to regain the health, roll away if you are gonna die and drink a potion.

Cheers, I have been doing that but I can rarely get behind him without taking damage. Will just have to keep trying.

Also unless I'm doing something wrong I never regain health from effective attacks?
