It shouldn't matter. The producers job is to ensure overruns or lateness is accounted for. He should have ensured the kitchen stayed on or alternatives were in place to ensure hot food to a standard required was supplied.

Unfortunately not to the required standard expected by the person he was responsible for. Who after ten years really has no excuse not to know.

You have no argument here, there's not a debate to be had. The producer did nothing wrong, nor did he fail to do his job.
 
Well as fun as watching this is, it's getting late, so I'm going to get some sleep before going to work in the morning. Where success is rewarded with more cash, and failure isn't rewarded with a punch in the face.

How do you know what a producers job is, is there another area of expertise.

I bet failure is rewarded with dismissal, demotion, reassignment, warnings or other suitable censure though?

There was perfectly good food available.

I'd also love to hear this line of arguement in a court or employment tribunal :D.
