High demand for Titan X exceed supply

But he never once insinuated or even hinted at only enthusiasts buy Titan Xs. You read the post and went off on one at everyone and anyone. Maybe a bad day or something else but there was no need for it at all.

Those are impulse buyers or as "WE" like to say "enthusiasts" or "graphic card aficionados"

(you are looking at one of them ;))

I know what I read, thanks. That post was smug and insulting to enthusiasts, but whatever you're not going to see it are you? he is a fellow Titan X owner so you must defend him at all costs, yes.

As for going off on one? yeah I did. However, you seem to be taking my criticism of Nvidia quite badly. Why? is it because I offended your master or something?

I simply put down my reasons for thinking Titan X was stupid. Not those who bought it, nor their reasons why, but Titan X itself. And that's offended you for which I won't apologise because after all I am allowed to have my opinion about the product.

And as for considering me like the kids in school, so what? Putting that into perspective, I have worked all my life and looking at it from your angle, I should hide away the nice things in case people like you take offence....GTFO.

Your attitude smells but whatever Greg, enjoy your card. I'm not going to get myself banned over this just because I dared to speak out against Nvidia.

There's nothing wrong with his attitude. What you're saying is actually hilarious.

Let's put this to bed in what should be one or two words, if enthusiast is not what you'd call TITAN X buyers, what word would it be?

Are you asking me to offend people now? Is this some sort of a trap?

Not going to work mate.

One of those few times I will keep my opinions on that to myself because I'm not here to insult any one, as much as they feel insulted by the fact I pointed out that the Titan X is stupid.

There's a big difference you know.

Yeah because that would be saying what you mean wouldn't it. Case closed :D

No not really. I've said it a hundred times but whatever, one more time won't hurt. It's their money and their life and none of my business.

So yeah I do have my opinions but what's the point if it would insult any one? that doesn't change my opinion somehow it just tells me that maybe I should keep certain opinions to myself as I've also pointed out I am not here to offend any one.

If, however, my thoughts about a product insult those that bought it? I can't help that. However I'm certainly not here to assassinate character. Not cool.

Well Africanos (Nik) runs multiple systems and does a great service to the community by benching and posting results. I have not seen him show any bias and I respect what he does. He has been like a little kid (as have I) prior to getting the TX and shown only his professionalism in every thread. You jumped on him without obviously knowing what is what and that was completely uncalled for. I even responded really politely and then got jumped on myself, so I can see you have no interest in admitting you was out of order and gracefully holding your hands up but instead feel more insults are needed.

I will be using the RTM system for any subsequent insults, as I feel it is enough now.

I am the person who said

"Those are impulse buyers or as "WE" like to say "enthusiasts" or "graphic card aficionados" (you are looking at one of them )

I have already mentioned what I meant

ALXAndy

You don't personally justify the performance and build quality for 1000 bucks good on you (dont buy it) - I could care less as it performs very well for me.

You said earlier that's why you got a third Titan Black, nobody is peskying you on if/why that's a bad move (or why you paid full price on launch for the first two) - It's your choice good on you and enjoy..

"WE" as in people that upgrade their GPUs. Most can actually avoid an upgrade (why not lower settings more? or your native resolution) yet it still is an "impulse buy" in a way when upgrading.

This has nothing to do with TX owners as I have a very nice GT640 sitting here with DDR3 that works just fine for what I need it to do on my i3 build and most of my hours are spent on a lappy anyway (very limited time on my gaming only rig if Im lucky).

If you can't read or just want to skip what the person mentioned as "WE" (which is me) said. You are just looking to derail the thread and Titan X owners.

Mentioning once again that Titan X owners are not enthusiasts is daft (whatever its capabilities, price and/or build quality is irrelevant).

Titan Black owners aren't enthusiasts either in that sense. I would never say such a thing its insulting to me (and I don't even own that card).

In terms of mods, I use to ghetto mod when I was a kid (with no disposable income). I even made my own case with sidepanel and lighting before those even became mainstream (weren't available in my country at that time).

I will leave it at that.

Back to the thread discussion. I think Nvidia might not have thought it would sell out this well and/or just kept stock in their own warehouse to reap the profit margins from AIBs.

You cant use the word "fact" to express an opinion Andy, that's the fundamental problem, you think your opinion is fact

I see facts and I make an opinion from those facts. Just the same as any one else really.

I will be using the RTM system for any subsequent insults, as I feel it is enough now.

Wind your neck in I've not insulted you once ! what's the matter with you FFS.

Hats off to nvidea as they know how to make Max profit. They build the fastest card out at the mo, build it as cheap as possible and charge silly money.

As long as people jump all over them at release they will just keep doing the same. I could afford one but wouldn't pay that for a gfx card and especially when its built and packaged like a low end GPU.

Thats just me, obviously there are a lot more that would.

If AMD released a card that was just as fast, just as well built, and ran just as cool/quiet/efficient then I would have no issue buying it over a TX even at the same price.

Would be absolute hell on if AMD released a card around the same performance and charged around the same price, we actually saw it with the 7970, although that was slightly faster than the 580, AMD charged a higher than their normal price for that, and so on every forum a going, there was massive threads on it, everyone slating AMD to absolute buggery for it.

But you aren't posting any facts, purely opinion
Your opion is that TitanX is "stupid", but the mere fact that it is selling out proves you dead wrong

I posted the facts but you seem to have missed them so here we go again.

1. Removing DP has removed an awfully big plus point.
2. No LED in the fan area as shown, no light up Titan logo just a piece of chromed plastic.
3. No back plate. On a card costing this much that is criminal given both the stock 970 and 980 have them.
4. 12gb. Really.

Those are the facts and they are irrefutable.

So my opinion is on the card and not the owners that this Titan is crap.

I originally thought the same about the original Titan but was shown by a mate of mine just how good they were for DP. A function that has been removed, removing most of the reason for the price tag.

It's like coming up with X99. The workstation massive go "oooo, ahhhh" then find out that the chips are the same derped locked down expensive Xeons they always had access to.

OK? has that displayed enough fact to reinforce my opinion?

None of which is rude, horrible or nasty. Or, finally, insulting.

In fact the only insult going on here is the one Nvidia have performed on their loyal buyers. IMO, of course.
