At the workbench in the church in the Hunter's Dream (it's to the right in front of the altar). You upgrade and repair your weapons there, make sure you do the latter every so often or your damage will plummet.

Took me ages to get past first bit of the game and even longer to beat the Cleric Beast. Must have died a hundred times. This is my first From Software game though.
Then my PS4 plays up and I have to reinitialise. No save on the cloud either so had to start again!
Blitzed through the whole level killing all enemies and Cleric Beast without dying once, apart from at start to get weapon! So satisfying. Glad I persevered now.

Ahh cool. It's a big one at 2.5GB
Hopefully it'll fix the problem I have being able to get my molotovs that are in storage.

finally slaughtered cleric, damn my heart beat was 200
quite an introduction to the game isnt it
First game of the day and I beat the cleric beast with relative ease. Used 9 Molotovs and 7 Vials, which isn't too bad. Using dodge more and R2 attack instead of R1 helped a lot with the Threaded Cane.
I had Vitality14, Endurance 14, Strength 13, Skill 15 and Level 20 overall.
Only disappointment is that it didn't open up any new areas to explore. And the lantern it drops is really not that far away from the original one! I am fairly sure I have been/explored everywhere and only the area Gascoigne and the guy at the beginning with the Big Axe block, remain. I am struggling to find the Ninja lady who attacked me the other day as well.
