My 25mm shopping list which I need to fulfil soon... Only need 1 set but in order of priority:
  • 25mm P4E's/SC
  • 25mm GP4S
  • 25mm GPII

I'm currently attempting to 'wear out' my 23mm P4E's as I have a set of 25mm Giant P-R3's to use but don't want to use them in the wet as they're a bit lively... My 23mm P4E's have done around 1200 miles and only had 2 punctures (some glass & pinched tube when changing rims). How many more should I expect to see, another 1000? If so I'll probably not switch to the Giant tyres and will look straight for new tyres that I'll continue to ride through the winter.

compatible rims? ;)

but p4e's are my fave at the moment :o

Wooohoo! Converted! :D

Just signed up on my first Strava challenge. Just happens to be one of their hardest month challenges ever..... 9000m climbing in April.

Joined it too, but it's fun to join challenges! Hardly ever complete any, it's just nice to see how far you actually get ;)

This morning my front tyre felt soft and I got to the end of my street and the side wall let go...!

turns out when wheelies fitted the 25c tyres they kept the original 30-38c inner tubes in the rim, the side wall gave in at the point they gathered the excess rubber.

morons! ruined my morning swapping the inner tubes to the correct size!

on a plus the cyclocross tyres turned up this morning.

Pics, y0!

Phone camera will suffice for now!

Saddle looks a funny angle, but it's nice and flat.

Sent a complaint email to wheelies and got 2 new tyres and tubes as an apology, I'm happy with that as I just wanted them to know to check the tube size before swapping tyres, basic stuff for a bike shop I'm sure?!

Are they cable operated? I was offered cable TRPs, but went for the Shimano 685 hydraulics. I guess the power would be similar, but feel is greatly different.

No it won't. This is the UK.

Yeah, cable operated. SRAM Rival 22 groupset.

I'll see how they go first, but may upgrade to the TRP Hy-Rd cable actuated hydraulics.

Or even upgrade to full hydraulic! I figured at least I've got a good frame for upgrades; disc brake mounts, mudguard mounts and even panniers if I feel like some light touring.

Any recommendations for a 2 x AAA rear light?

I'll happily recommend NOT buying any Radbot products. I had my worries about the lack of rubber seals, but it's not only gone rusty inside but it's also rusted my rechargeable batteries! Battery life is shockingly poor, but the worst thing about it is that the light doesn't go dim when the batteries start to go flat - you get no warning, it just switches off! So I've been caught out a couple of times with no back light. What a useless piece of ****, it's time for it to go in the bin.
