What did you do to your bike today?

rubber.jpg

rubber and tax the rear was fitted tail end of last year but not had much use feels ok maybe a little Skippy, needed something a more hard wearing due to the 12 likes eating tyres I blame the full akrapovic myself :p

Put a Pipewerx exhaust on. I've had the exhaust since I got the bike 6 months ago and put it on before but the sound was too loud and it annoyed me. I was ill at the time so I wondered if this was a contributing factor so put it back on today. I'm still not sure if I will leave it on or not as it is still annoying me but not to the same degree. A few more rides to test it out.

Looking at full exhaust systems... a slip on makes absolutely zero difference to my bike as the cat and ugly muffler underneath rape the sound... so it's full system or bust.

Then I'd need a power commander... expensive... but tempting

Anybody live by the sea? How do you deal with sand and chains?

Currently commuting to a seaside town for work and no matter how often i clean and lube my chain manually and use my scottoiler at full whack the sand is sticking too and absorbing all the lube! ...do i just go dry?

I've just put a deposit on a Suzuki SFV650 Gladius - Metallic Mat Black / Glass Sparkle Black - KGL
Coming back to bikes after a long 12 years brake, riding scooters didn't count as riding for me

:D

Buy a bike without a chain ;)

I would think a dry non-sticky lube would be best, a coating of oil will end up getting sandy, use something that won't have stuff stick to it. Maybe a chain wax that will cover the whole chain and stop anything getting through.
