Since there is an ASUS vendor rep here (which is great to see) I would just like to clarify something. When I said "knowing ASUS" I of course meant that they would thoroughly test the monitor and will only release it when it is ready. :p

As early as May?! Def. waiting then, even though I don't like ASUS's RMA/CS, I don't think I will have much other choice......

Saying that, I don't know if I want to stick with AMD for much longer either...

Why couldn't nvidia and AMD just work together on this one thing! (the screen sync tech) :(

This is the monitor I have been eyeing up, Though I have a PB278Q (non R) all ready which I cant fault other than it ain't A-sync ready :p.

Keep us all updated Jim please

They did - adaptive sync is the result. nVidia are part of the group that defined that standard and are almost inevitably going to support it eventually as to not do so either makes their GPUs worse in the laptop space for no good reason or means they're deliberately cutting their desktop customers off from functionality they've already developed.

I only bought my current monitor recently, but am kinda tempted by this - never gone above 60Hz since CRT days, would be nice to give this a go!

they are up for sale already in Germany and Sweden, 7 day lead time according to the websites. €568 is the price listed.
