What PC games are you playing?

Hotline Miami 2.

Takes a little while to get used to the changes in level design but I'm rapidly
coming to the opinion this is a masterpiece and better than the first.

It's tough, addictive and can be frustrating, but when things click there's simply nothing like the adrenaline rush this gives you when you dance through a map in blissful autopilot to possibly the most impressive gaming soundtrack I've ever heard.

Deus Ex Human Revolution - I have no idea how this one slipped my net. I remember playing the first level or so a few years ago after getting it in the sales then thinking it's nowhere near as good as the first but wow, incredible game!

After finishing Pillars of Eternity, I tried starting Dragon age inquisition again... I can't play that after playing a real RPG! it isn't in the same league.

Pillars is not perfect, but it's the best rpg for quite a while, and probably for quite a while to come, what with expansions and everything.

I installed this a while back and started it but just can't seem to get into it... This post doesn't help to make me want to give it more of a chance

Have you got past the introductory sequence? This lasts for quite a while imo, but after that the game starts to free up and flow more.

Its not for everyone as its a very marmite experience in my opinion, just like stalker. I enjoyed the ranger mode far more than "normal" as the weapons actually felt dangerous, as did the enemies. That combined with the scarce ammo and health made it a completely different experience for me (survival horror instead of action FPS).

I'm not sure... it's been a while since I played it but the parts I recall doing certainly felt fairly tutoriall-y... I think there was some sort of scripted sequence where you get overwhelmed by those dog things with a group of other soldier type guys? Not sure I played much beyond that

Oh riiight now I remember another reason I stopped was to look for a mod/tweak to sort out the god-awful FOV...

I can't really comment on the difficulty as I've clearly not played far enough, but it sounds relatable... like most games these days on anything other than the hardest difficulty - you're tripping over mountains of health-kits you can't pick up (if the game even requires you to collect health rather than have it auto-regen)... and have full ammo for every weapon for the entirety of the experience... *sigh*

Just finished divinity original sin.

I found it had great mechanics and the battles were always fun and engaging however the story was shallow and there was very little interaction between characters.

Would love a sequel or dlc that had an interesting story and deeper companions.

I would give it 8/10.
