I just don't understand some people

Dear Lord... not sure if serious, but sadly presuming you are.

Lets just agree to disagree as I am really not going to waste time replying further to someone so quick to get himself in a tizzy.

PS: I was only talking about EU and first-world countries, not the "worst hell holes in the world", which the UK is obviously much better than.

You asked where I had travelled and lived. Without listing them all I precis it for you. Here's a better suggestion, pull your head out of your arse.

If you read what I posted again, you'll see I wasn't talking about casual violence, I was talking about people approaching you in the street and begging for various things. I honestly don't see how you can be so well travelled and still think that sort of thing happens more in England than the rest of Europe - in fact I'd say I experienced more of it during a weekend in Barcelona more than in a lifetime of living in London.

Rome is terrible for this, Almost ruined my holiday when one beggar upset my girlfriend before i could step in because he was so pushy.

Yes it's unfortunate we have to share the same public space as uneducated cretins but don't take her insults personally, she's just unhappy with her own life and tried to bring you down to her level of misery

Primark in Reading has some proper uneducated folk.
Once when I was in there to buy some cheap socks, there was an assistant whose name was Rocksan. I can only assume that her parents couldn't spell Roxanne.

But at least she doesn't have to put on the red light, those days are over. She no longer has to sell her body to the night.

Had a similar confrontation when out with an Indian friend once. His instant reaction to them was "if I can come here and get a job when English is not my first language, what does that say about you?"

The guy was gobsmacked to say the least...he didn't quite know what to say to that :D

Lots of things happen that shouldn't happen, but they do. Part of being a decent human being is knowing when to be tolerant. .

Over-tollerance breeds a higher level of "I can do what the **** I want, I know my rights" crap though, knowing ones rights and others being tollerant doesnt excuse people from being ****s though.

You just have to feel sorry for these kind of people, so uneducated and ignorant, they'll never know any better. Do you care to hazard who she'll be voting for in the next election?

Unfortunately her child/children will most likely absorb her poor morals; it's a vicious circle.

Its not a vicious circle though as people like this generally have more than one child, that means eventually we will be surrounded by work shy racist asshats..

Weird, 13 years of living in London, and I've never been randomly accosted by psychos out and about.

I've been mugged by a gang. Once. Ten years ago.

#luckymofo?

So are you saying being tolerant is a bad thing ? Also, try and phrase your response without using disguised profanity, it just diminishes your argument a great deal imo.

Being tolerant isn't a bad thing, if there is a need to be tolerant, being stuck behind a learner driver or being in a situation where you have to be patient or tolerant because someone else is unable to do better/faster etc is fine.

Being tolerant because someone is just ignorant etc is something different.

As for the profanity, that wasn't "my" part, it was to illustrate the attitude and aggressiveness of "these" sorts of people...

It has shown to have been. Take for example what happened in Rotherham. Too much tolerance preventing people from doing the right thing.

Or tolerating hate preachers on the street, a warped (Or even a normal one) view of Islam which can be Homophobic and Misogynist

If you end up protecting the very people that you are originally against, then something has gone seriously wrong, which it has.

So you are saying that we shouldn't be tolerant of UKIP and their voters because the party has omniphonic policies?

When UKIP members have collectively raped 1400 children and set off bombs around London or call for the end of western civilization in return for oppressive sharia run regimes that would threaten the lives millions of women, gays and Jews then absolutely yes

One day she'll do it to the wrong person and will have all her teeth smashed out. I genuinely believe people as a whole are becoming more stupid, selfish and ignorant.

I blame the internet. Everyone thinks they are tough guys on the internet and it now seems to be translating into everyday life. Its like people forget that in the "real world" you can and will get your your face smashed in if you "large it" with someone who doesn't take kindly to taking crap.
