Anyone tried a solid state for this game ( I know it's not healthy fort the ssd long run) I heard it can shave off 15 seconds on the load screen ? I was wondering if formatting a fresh 5400 rpm drive and only having this game installed at the edge of the platter might speed it up also ?

On another note what does insight do again ? it makes the enemies harder ? and how do you lower it in that water thing in the hunters dream ? upstairs looks liek a bird bath and theres a hiollow tree stump up top behind the building

You can lower it by buying things from the insight messenger vendor, think it appears when you get to 10? It's the one at the top of the left hand stairs. Sorry can't think of a better way of describing it.

Enemies change at a certain insight level, think it's either 15 or 20, but some of the enemies in the Cathedral Ward started firing magic out of their lanterns, and their scythes have glowing buffs.

Ugh. BSB. Use antidotes, die when he's got about 15% left, repeat, run out of antidotes, farm & buy more, repeat.

Bit annoying it seems that enemies don't tend to drop antidotes!

Best bit of advice for Bsb is further up the page. Constantly keep moving towards it and dodging diagonally past. Then a couple of heavy hits from behind, move away and repeat.

Also I'm sure I read somewhere that you can lob pungent blood cocktails or whatever they are called and the beast will ignore you and chase after them. Not tried it mind but by that stage of the game you should have a few in your inventory - I had seven.

I only just realised you sprint when holding the circle, in my head it was just for tapping to dodge, never thought of holding it........

Those struggling on the BSB....I've just downed my 10th boss and BSB is by far the hardest and most annoying fight so far, took me so many attempts that I lost count. In the end my only chance was by calling for help in coop.

I've since managed to solo everything in a couple of attempts, so once you're through, the next 6 or so bosses are much nicer.

I finally managed BSB after giving up so many times :)

Used all my health viles and was down to my last 1/4 of health

You can imagine how tense and the sense or relief when finally completing!!!!

I thought BSB was easy..... I'm struggling on Amelia!

BSB - just dodge under his right arm swipe and get a few hits in.. keep an eye on the poison - I think I used one antidote.

You are invincible during part of your dodge - iframes. Big part of demons/dark souls too!

If you have trouble with the first boss get father Gascoigne to help :D

I got the first boss down without using Father Gascoigne, now I am up to him. Only had about 2 attempts at him but I only recently found out I have the music box!

Am I just being rubbish at it taking this long and only on second boss, mind then again I have had it over 2 days and not sure how long I have played it for...could be about 8hrs or so?

No,you should be farming echoes really as just playing straight through it will get very hard very quickly! As for FG,he only has a 3 strike pattern so dodge, dodge and dodge then a couple of strikes and start again. I never even used the music box despite having it in my inventory. This game seems to favour the up-close method of fighting

It gets the heart beating dosnt it. Such a sense of relief and acomplishment though

Phew, this game has burnt me out. I've not touched PlayStation since Thursday last week, I needed a break , brutally hard game. But. I'll look at having another go later today I think...

Got to the one reborn last time I played. And he gave me a right good kicking...

I had a peak at the trophy list and i have 3 bosses left including this one! Not found him yet but hopefully i dont miss anyone :D

Joined the vile bloods last night, very weird/cool

I'm pretty ashamed to say it but I used cheesing tactics quite a few times in this game.

3 guys in Yahargul, lure one or two away and kill them separately.

Nasty thing that can't get through a doorway or is stuck somewhere behind a wall? Use the charge attack to hit it through the wall.

Another thing people should bear in mind is that different weapons work WAY better on some monsters than others. I was pulling my hair out trying to kill Martyr Logarious with my sword and when I swapped to my weaker cleaver he went down so easily.

I beat Rom. I think the 2 options I have next are the castle (boss is too strong for me atm) and also the spider boss at the end of unseen village path.

I rarely save enough echoes to buy good weapons so am sticking with saw cleaver (+8) and threaded cane (+6), especially as the blood stone chunks are really hard to come buy if you want to go +6 or above!

Any estimate to how much of the game I am through? 50% or more? I'm still enjoying it immensely, just wondering how big the game is. I am fairly sure I haven't missed any bosses as I explore very thoroughly.
