Worst culprit BMW wise was the X3 which although only being in production 7 years itself was E46 based platform wise and still being sold new in 2011!

Tell me more about how the A1 uses the PQ24 platform and not the newer PQ25 platform.

Because the 25 is a derivative of the 24. That's how! You've had people explain it to you several times and you're flat out refusing to listen. It's has slight changes which allow the possibility of 4wd and other minor mods. Behind it though it is still a design from the 90's.
You also still didn't answer the deflection point and continued to deflect.

Yes your windows logic is somewhat correct. 7 has some of the inherent flaws present throughout the whole of the windows OS range. It's why some people use different operating systems.
This however is more like a service pack than a full new os.
