Does anyone still run 3gb 580sli ?

Indeed ^^

Andy, Again, you are referencing a ti not a 780. I am still waiting for proof that a 580 sli setup and single 780 are miles apart...proof you haven't provided despite saying everyone else is wrong. Feel free to look at the link i posted earlier in the thread..the one that disputes everything you have said. Or alternatively, try reading what others have posted.

The gtx590 is included in this gtx780 review which is a decent indicator of performance on gtx580sli. The single card sli would be faster as it has much higher clocks so performance back then was very similar.

Yup fair enough. So the 590 was 11% slower. Add a pair of 580s and you get that performance back.

However, things and drivers have changed. And that's going on the 580s scaling perfectly, which obviously they won't every time.

So I'm still sticking to what I believe.

The TI wasn't that much faster than the 780.

OK obviously we are done here. I'm just not buying it, sorry.

Over and out.

For the OP

Just found an old 580 sli heaven 2.5 benchmark and have just duplicated the test with a single 780 ghz. Bearing in mind nothing has changed in my rig.

The 580sli scored 2811 min fps 58.5 max fps 236.3

The 780 ghz edition scored 3247 min fps 70.1 max fps 283.7

Bearing in mind the ghz edition is 10-15% faster than a standard 780.

When you do the math there is very little between them, as previously mentioned several times.
