Played 4 hours last night, 1st time I've played a GTA since GTA 3...

Did one hour of missions & 3 hours of fooling around looking about the island lol.

I seem to be locked to 59fps (native 90Hz) ? V-sync off... Is it locked ?

I take i First persion mode is not like BF4 with iron sites ? With mine is off to the right & I watched a GTA V (PC) video on YT & the user was looking down !

Go into first person mode right click aim and then scroll UP. this should trigger your scope. that being iron sight/scope.

its not locked ive seen 150fps before i cranked settings up

mines done it but only when the game loses focus from a task tray notification.

Just hit alt+enter and switch to full screen again (works in almost very game)

if you give it a while it does change but takes agesi end up doing alt+enter

Sounds like performance is good...

I'm in two minds - whether to buy it on PC now or PS4 once a decent price cut arrives for digital download version.

An SSD does NOT improve multiplayer loading between missions and back to main, this is something that Rockstar needs to patch. Believe me I have tried both a HD and an SSD, it's still awful.

It feels like its just a server loading thing, been taking ages to connect for me and the few friends i play with.

Odd I noticed since doing that I get max 30fps whereas before it was 60fps.

Sounds like v-sync, check your settings hasn't randomly reset or something?

I use to have these windowed issues but i then upgraded my nvidia drivers up to the 350 release or whatever the latest for gta5 was, once doing so it didn't happen again once.

Whether or not that is related is another thing

I've played months of several games - with not one crash, then one new title or benchmark and card or PC keels over after 5 mins

Perhaps. I haven't had one several months, but I have had them. I'm pretty convinced my chip is a dud anyway because it needs a lot more volts than I've seen others need, and the only reason I settled on 1.2v is because it passed 15 minutes of Prime and a few IBT runs (i.e., not conclusively stable). Might increase it a little more before I resort to lowering my image quality.

That's my exact build, except i have 16gb Ram. It runs fine on "High". I'm also clocked at 4.5ghz.

Hi, getting abit jealous reading about playing it

im thinking of buying it but really wanna be running it at high settings smooth to enjoy it

my PC spec is

AMD 8350 @ 4.4ghz
8GB 1866mhz ddr 3
MSI 290 Gaming Edition @1000mhz gpu - 1300mhz memory

running a 1080p 27inch 60hz monitor

by looking at the benchmarks the 290 does well, i would be happy with 60fps, but i know my cpu is a let down, and with skylake coming pretty soon, think would be waste now buying Intel I7 cpu,

what you guyz reckon ?

I know PCMasterRace n all but I hate having all these graphics options, too much choice. Find myself fiddling with them more than enjoying the game..

Had a play on it last night. Rig in my sig was getting terrible stutter. DXtory didn't even overlay in game so I couldn't see FPS but it didn't feel much above 30.
