There must be more than one gym?

Not that I have membership for and with sub £25 in my account at the moment I cant really afford to get a month gym membership + signing fee anywhere. At the start of the renovations I was using my gf's Uni gym (stole her card) but that went out of the window when she went home for the Easer hols.

On the plus side, the gym opens again today so its all good.

Gym still closed... Doesnt open until Wed... Losing my mind and my gains at equal, shocking rates.

Stepped in the gym, ain't even mad... Gone from just one power rack to two power racks and two squat racks; three old tatty benches that were far from flat and in atrocious condition to four brand new flat benches (that can do decline too ); two oly bars to 8... The gym is actually usable as for powerlifters/weightlifters now :D:D

Just a shame they did it in my last four weeks of Uni, had to put up with no equipment for far too long :(

UPGRADE :D sounds epic!

They put in a new oly bar, more 20kg plates, and clips. It means there are now 5 or 6 olympic bars now at the gym. They need a few more lower weights though, we only have 2x 5kg plates, 2x 2.5kg, 4x 1.25kg plates.

I desperately need more of these smaller denominations for my Stronglifts routine when they are in use already by multiple gym members.

But on the flip side, even at it's busiest, I've been able to get my full workout in.

So you don't want to lose weight, but you want to get rid of your gut? Right. :)

I just feel like I have a bit of a gut when I'm sat down :)

Had a look through the beginners guide and had a blast with some squats and deadlifts this morning after the usual.

Need to work on my diet I think. I deliberately eat less than I know I can but no idea on calorie intake.

As said, you'll need to work out what your daily allowance is, then drop it from there and monitor it.

Can be annoying and tedious, but without doing that you'll find yourself eating in a surplus.

How did you find the squats and deads? You may be eating less than you can, but 35 biscuits is not a proper diet ;)

Yeah I'm looking to start doing them once a week. Since I've been back from surgery I've been doing Greg Nuckols beginner x3 a week for squat, bench and OHP but only his the beginner, x1 a week for deadlifts. I'd like to do a bit more pulling so I'm moving up to the 'beginner, x2 a week' which has you do conventional and a different stance as the 2nd movement per week - so clean deadlift will be my main (my excuse is I don't want to keep changing shoes in the gym so I keep the heels on...RIP) and snatch grip deadlift the secondary.
