What do you suggest? heres how it is at the moment.

I seem to be suffering from the issue where GTAVLauncher.exe is using 20-30% CPU constantly causing random FPS drops, if i kill the launcher in task manager my FPS is pinned to 60 and doesn't budge but of course the game will crash soon after due to the DRM.

Just played the first mission, plus the new Star Wars trailer - today is a good day

No idea what FPS I am getting but it's running well, probably still need to tweak some settings.

Maybe the ocuk crew should have some guidelines of conduct etc so theres some structure to it. I.e no killing other ocuk crew otherwise ur kicked out. Try to join ocuk crew activites when possible so they play together instead of being on their own. No greifing other ocuk crew members or others. No kids otherwise they are kicked, besides its a 18 game but somehow they have it.

Things like that? Put in the OP? Oh and good time frames so we know when is the best time to go on.

You can activate a mode which makes you invincible to other players which is great when you're just trying to get on with a mission.

For me the only rule that I would like is that members on TS should take priority during missions. There are only limited spots for missions / heists and I would prefer to play with members who can communicate via TS.

For the lads running 2GB GPU's, what settings are you running? Having the textures on High basically completely wipes out my 2GB, and I have to end up dropping it down to DX10 with only a few settings on High to even get the usage into the yellow.

I have textures on high with a GTX 770 2GB, my VRAM usage is on 2300MB or something like that and using the ignore limits I don't have problems at all.

Seems to work amazingly well with me, FPS are really good.
Unfortunately with textures, very high does make a massive difference with FPS and VRAM, so we cannot have that.
I wouldn't go down from high though as textures look awful at normal.
Stay on DX11, the effects are well worth it

Edit: For those with the interlaced/blocky issue, the extended draw distance fixes that. If you have it all the way to the left it looks like GTA IV hence why I have it atleast 1/5th of the way. You still notice it, but very far away now

This game has revealed some serious instability with my PC... Even though I managed to pass 2 hours of Prime95 earlier, I barely made 20 minutes without a WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR bugcheck. Either my OC is bad or my RAM is dodgy. So I increase my core voltage from 1.260 to 1.265 and the game hard locks my system. Even attempting launch Heaven or Valley hard locked my system after that. Reverting the voltage back didn't even work, so I had no choice but to reset my BIOS. Things actually run again.

Gonna give GTA a spin at stock to see how I get on.

Ive never lucklily had to set one up but i know others do. So cant help with how to set it up but im sure another ocuker here can help. If you can figure it out tho how it works then try a curve profile instead of that hill climb kinda one thats default. Like every 10c up it 10-20% or somit i dunno make it so it looks like a curve but try and find out what temps ur getting and adjust based on that perhaps?

Some guide that has a small bit about fan curve on here.

But like i said maybe post in the gfx card section and ask what to do there as ull get a better response rather than in this topic i think. Gluck with getting the noise down a touch.

Two days after Grand Theft Auto 5 launched for the PC, someone has figured out how to make it work with the Oculus Rift. The results, as seen in this video of a high-speed crotch-rocket ride through Los Santos, are nothing short of spectacular.
The VR functionality was enabled by vorpX, which "lets you play many existing DirectX9-11 games on your Oculus Rift in stereo 3D." There's not a whole lot going on here in terms of gameplay—creator Falandorn says he's "not really into missions and all that, just speeding about shooting people and causing carnage is entertainment enough"—but even as just a sight-seeing tour, it's a blast. And the great thing is, this is just two days after launch—this kind of thing is only going to get better.
Speaking of GTA, we've got some tips on how to quickly fill your pockets with filthy lucre, and if you're up for some multiplayer action, why not join the official PC Gamer crew, The Notorious PCG? It's mo' money, but no problems. (And if you ask nicely, we might let you ride our bike.)

Keyboards fear. I dunno about 1440 but at 1080p i can run with a 670 2gb card very high textures, very high shaders, normal shadows, the three sliders i set to full, zero, full, most other things mix of normal or high. Population variety is what is causing ur vram to go up a lot if thats zero which tbh is perfectly fine imo then you can put ur textures to very high. Turn vsync off go to nvidia panel put it on global for adaptive vsync and away you go. ;) Oh turn down extended distance scaling u dont need it really.

Anyone having trouble uploading videos to YouTube from the game? I made a video about 5 minutes long and it was 2.1GB in size and that failed. So I thought maybe too big, so the next option was a medium bitrate down from a high one. The video was now 900mb. But still failed. Is it the size/length that's the issue or just early teething problems?

You do need it, that GTA IV black blocky object/interlacing effect completely ruins the game for me, and for others that have complained about the effects.
As for the rest, I've only lowered to those settings after starting the Trevor missions.
The FPS can be nice in the city, but go into the wild or those areas and they take a massive nosedive! I know because at first I WAS running SP with most things max.

Then I found out how nice good FPS is :D

Maybe my card is just **** but I cant get good FPS with textures on very high, not even texture high-shaders very high as that also becomes almost unplayable..

I just cant get along with this game :( ive given it to a guy in our office building. Does anyone know are saves local or server side for online as mine is broken and stuck on the tutorial.

Most fun ive had on GTA today:
1. Stealing someone's personal car with a CargoBob and dropping it on him, killing him.
2. Stealing someones personal car with a CargoBob while they were still in it, and driving. Then dropping them on top of the maze bank building.
3. Listening to a guy "flirt" with a stripper using his microphone. It was awful.
