6 months of vaping went down the pan for me this week. I had been slowly lowering the nicotine over time until i got to 0mg but made the mistake of ordering it from bluestar and a flavour i'd never tried before and didn't like it while having nothing i liked left over as backup. Went out last weekend and ended up back on the smokes after a few drinks, then ended up smoking all week again out of convenience :( until today when i nipped into a local and bought some 12mg vanilla custard and ordered 100ml of my favourite custard cream online.

Really kicking myself now. It was only 5 days worth of smoking but sorta feels like i'm back at square one. My throat is feeling the vape hits now and feels a bit raw when doing so, doesn't take long for smoke to mess you up again :(

I use 18650 batteries, why is it that some batteries make the vape really harsh and others I hardly feel the vape. I've been trying to work it out for ages.

Batteries are the same make and rating, both charged up fully. But they give a totally different vaping experience. I much prefer a smooth vape to the throat hit.

It happens in both my mechanical mod and VV mod, so it must be something to do with the battery.

Don't beat yourself up. You've done the right thing and gone straight back to vaping again.
I fell off the horse about a year ago for a couple of days. If anything it showed me that I never want to smoke again. I felt terrible and my throat was raw.

It may be that some of the batteries can't sustain the current needed. Maybe they're fake or just dying. Get yourself a charger that shows how many mAh you're putting back in to the batteries. I've got an Xtar VC2 and it's very useful for determining how healthy my batteries are.

Having real trouble getting the subtank mini rba to dismantle, the top locking collar comes off easily enough, the main well ring is absolutely solid, any tips? Needs some fresh cotton.

pop it into the base of the subtank, then nip the top one up and re try the bottom one. This normally sorts it for me.

Thanks for that. I'm trying to tell myself it was a temporary lapse but still really disappointed in myself.

One thing it has taught me is that having a smoke isn't as satisfying as i seemed to remember it. I didn't enjoy each smoke while actually smoking it as much as i thought i remembered, it's just the lighting one up and ending the craving every 20 mins that was satisfying.

Hopefully i won't make the same mistake twice.

Cheers will give that a try too.

Finding it hard to get the tank in bits with Heisenberg in it, I can't quite tell what it tastes like, but its running a close second to green crack for my faves atm. Must have burned through nearly 5ml today alone

I know a few people who smokes and vapes... they vape daily and smoke on nights out or once in a while, no biggie in my eyes.

For me I just don't find smoking satisfying any more, thou I have 'wanted' a cig and 'feel' like treating myself to one, I just remember last time I had a cig it was 'meh'. hence why I still have loads of baccy and cigs left around the house.

There was a stag a few weeks back were I needed to go lower in the ohm and higher in the wattage to satisfy my vaping needs; it was crazy as I could taste burnt hit and very hot levels. But I forced myself to to vape an evod tank at a 'normal' ohm level, and after a few days I enjoyed vaping at 17w 1.5ohm coil again. :D

Just chilling with a EMOW tank with a 2 ohm coil at the moment on an istick 20w... I'm trying to get rid of this horrible juice I have, "premium" my backside! worst juice EVER! but its the last of my 18mg nic juice. :)

I didn't remember it as 'meh' or anything bad, i remembered it as.. like sinking into a really comfy couch, if that makes sense. I suppose lapsing this week is a good thing because now i have the memory of it tasting 'meh' as you put it, not being anywhere near as satisfying as i thought it was and now my clothes smell :(

I've been vaping for almost 5 years now. I've smoked a few times over that mostly while drunk. I just go back to vaping and think nothing of it, it is only a fail if you keep smoking over vaping.

I literally can't smoke since I started vaping with decent kit. I was smoking & vaping on and off before with various EGOs, but now cigarettes taste vile and it makes me gag just thinking about it.

Bit of a result today....I got some Wooties #21 Custard, it's pretty good, but didn't get a 'hit' from it? Turns out there was a mix up with the labels and I've got 0 nic so they are sending me a new bottle with nic plus an extra one for the inconvenience, 3 for the price of one! :)

Nice, it is service like that makes you a loyal customer and gets good will in the fairly small vaping sphere.

Had my iStick 50w and Nautilus mini for a few days now. I don't know how I ever managed on cheaper stuff. I've gone from vaping almost constantly trying to satisfy the urge on cheaper inconsistent equipment, to taking a couple of clean direct hits every hour or so. My battery is still just under full after three days, and I was a 20-30 a day smoker before I started vaping lol. :) I had to play around with the airflow and wattage/volts to get to where I like it but now I have (approx 4.5v/10w) it's super. Initially I made the mistake of thinking bigger airflow and higher wattage = better.

The only one concern is that the iStick had no authenticity card or scratch panel, but eleaf say all genuine batteries come with one. I emailed the e-tailer (myepack.co.uk) and they're silent. Not sure whether to be happy it works so well and get on with life, or worry about it blowing up down the line and escalate. Any thoughts chaps?

The 30W I got recently came will all the appropriate authenticity paraphernalia, for the sort of money the 50W is, I wouldn't be happy with it potentially being a fake. We had an incident at work with a cheap knock off vaping battery exploding whilst charging, so I would want to see evidence it's genuine.

I literally just this minute got a reply from Eleaf (the manufacturer). They said because the box has no scratch panel and security code on the back it is counterfeit and to report it to the authorities.

I'll be contacting Consumer Direct and trying to file a chargeback via PayPal today. Annoyingly, PayPal make a chargeback for fake goods difficult. They want a signed letter from a third party confirming the actual product in hand is a fake, and a signature from a police officer confirming the problem has been reported. Hoops, much?

For anyone in the thread, avoid myepack.co.uk like the plague. They're refusing to correspond with me completely.

Checked my 50w from myepack before work, no authenticity stuff with that either from what I could see, I'll have a proper look tonight.

Might explain why they're charging £40 while eleaf direct sell for £55.

Can anything be done to put pressure on Myepack to refund, or at least label their stock correctly? I don't mind buying clones/fakes provided they're labelled as such, at least then I know what I'm getting my self into.

Here's what I got back:

Dear friend,
Thanks for your email and sorry for the delay in replying.
It is normal that there is no warranty card in the box.
But as for genuine Eleaf iStick products, there must be security codes and serial numbers on the back of the box.
So we doubt that the product you bought without security codes and serial numbers may be fake.
Kindly suggest you ask your seller for explanation.
If any problems feel free to contact us.
Have a nice day.
Best wishes!

iSmoka service

ETA: Now reported to Consumer Direct / CAB who will escalate to Trading Standards. I'll speak to the police after the school run (PayPal require it to launch a dispute for fake goods).

Some Eleaf resellers remove the security info so that eleaf cant track the seller of the item, puremist recently got in to grief with totally wicked over selling isticks in N.I, when they where only registered as southern ireland sellers, so i would not worry too much about it if you can see the packaging has been damaged where the stickers/code should be.

No visible damage at all, and if that were so you'd think they'd reply to my email rather than wait for me to get my money back. Especially so given that I'd have not returned the stick, as it's illegal to post fake goods, so unlike most PayPal disputes you're not obliged to return items known to be counterfeit before being issued a refund.

I have used myepack many times and they do sell authenic gear, eleaf has sign an exclusive deal with totally wicked and officially only them and eleaf (TECC) can sell the isticks in the UK.

There's many threads about this on the UK vapers site. :)

Even if it did have the authenic check sticker, there's a high chance that the site won't work; aspire, eleaf/Joyetech and kanger all pay the same third party company to the check system and it's a load of pants.

I have never had an issue with myepack, I shall dig up ash's email... He's on UK vapers site a lot and has always responded when I've emailed him.

Edit:
I can't find ash's email address using my iPad but iirc it was simply [email protected]
Here's the thread explaining about the stickers.

http://ukvapers.org/Thread-Myepack-genuine-stickers

Believe me, if I suspected them of selling clones, I wouldn't touch them when it comes to batteries or anything with batteries.

I got mine from a different vendor, and it has half a sticker on it lol
As I cba to wait for stock at myepack but I know mines legit as I got it before the clones came out.

Does anyone know what the Ohm rating is of the coil inside the RBA with the subtank mini? I find the 0.5 harsh and the 1.2 is starting to play up so time to have a go at some DIY :)
