***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

anyone surfed the web on gta5?

I really want a copy of righteous slaughter 7 ;)

and some of those shows seem a bit errrrr..............

My pc managed to Bork itself overnight. Had to completely reinstall so looks like I'm downloading this again. Just pray there is a cloud save!!!!

Confused at all of the people saying they can run this game on high...

My current specs:

cpu: i5-2500K (3.3ghz)
8gb ram
gpu 2x6950 (4gb) total

I can barely run the game on normal settings (textures on high seems to just put it over the edge).

Am I being held back by my CPU?

My spec is the same as yours except i recently overclocked my 2500k to 4.5ghz and have been wondering how it would run on my system before buying. I would imagine it could be quite cpu intensive, due to the ammount of stuff going on in the open world etc

Driver etc up to date or the same as these guys are using?

Running everything on high/very high with a i5 2500k (runs well at stock normally at 4.4ghz), 8gig ram and a 2GB GTX 680. Now slowdowns and can stream at 720p/30fps at the same time.

Another night where I can't play this and I'm stuck with this  :p[/QUOTE]

I still have 2 1/2 days of steam downloading plus any other updates...so it could be worse :p

Many people using team speak for this? Is there an ocuk channel? Probably details in the op, but I haven't looked :p

I am really enjoying single player, haven't played any online yet though but I watched a few streams of online gameplay and it looks a bit.. boring? Is everyone enjoying online? I will hopefully try it out later.

Another two updates tonight, one for 50mb, the other for 300mb. All done within 5 minutes.

Ready to play :)

Also I can see they fi ally fixed the super high fps on the social club launcher.

Not touched online and not interested to be honest. I'm loving SP and that's just free roaming too, I've not done any missions yet.

I have the same spec, except only one 6950 rather than two. I've only played for a bit but it ran fine. I'm not entirely sure what settings I have (pretty much went with what it suggested). I can check later if it helps.

It doesn't look amazing, but it looks okay and runs okay, I got 40-50fps in the benchmark thing.

Probably going to replace my card anyway, but its doing okay.

Great game but every session runs out of memory eventually. 100% failure rate but at least I'm getting a few hours between crashes now.

Are the AMD beta drivers any better?

I'm surprised at how cool the game runs my GTX980 & CPU Core i5-4690K 3.50GH with all settings at maximum
MSI fan control shows around 54c when running the game, similar temp for the 4 cores on CPU
Farcry 4 runs quite a bit hotter than this

The guys/gals we were up against were clearly no good lol:

But what is the point if you can see the other team as red dots on your mini map. Makes the whole team vs team pointless.
