Poor sod. I'm sure we've all had days were we could have lashed out but saner thoughts prevailed.

O well cant undo what was done.

Though, he has all the money to get him help. If this is true. It's not as if he'd struggle.

Well he would have probably used it as an excuse straight away if he was looking for sympathy i would imagine.

He waited long enough to say and i think he just wants people to understand what frame of mind he was in when it happened.

I think it would have looked better if he said it straight away.

Medical care still has limitations regardless of money.

I can't find any overly useful stats to suggest it's mortality rate.

What about the little boy and the parents that were arrested? That took the boy to America and was cured…. They weren't as rich as Clarkson.

Thankfully there was a cure for him. Doesn't mean there's a cure for everything as long as you have enough money to throw at it.

Wasn't it Prague though? We are talking about Ashya King right?

I know there isn't a cure for everything but its funny how he's no longer in the camera making shows he's acting all desperate all of a sudden. If this is all true. Please pity me!

Yeah, Ashya. Didn't they originally say he couldn't be cured? Hence why the parents weren't having it and had to take him to America. As they have all the equipment or whatever specialised equipment thats required.

Don't forget it's not just a cancer scare. He's also gone through a divorce, lost his mother and had the added stress of all his controversies over the past 12-18 months while still trying to be the figurehead of the worlds most popular TV show.

Not trying for a moment to justify his actions that day but nobody can imagine what state of mind he was in at that moment.

World's most popular TV show

No it's not, because that isn't what he's done. You are ignoring the context, he even adds himself that others manage to cope without resorting to violence.

Read the column, no attempt at justification is made.

But he just happened to mention it all the same ...

Although hitting someone at work can never be excused, I can somewhat feel more for the guy now. I know I'd certainly be at full tilt if I had to delay medical treatment for work's sake, certainly something that has generally dire consequences.
