***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Anyone else find the aliasing horrible?

I'm getting flickery lines / edges all over the place. Even with 8x MSSA or 4xMSAA + TXAA.

Even if I completely max the settings out I get dodgy flickering edges on road markings etc.

60 FPS capped on the GTX 980 with 73% usage. It is hammering my CPU with is running at 4.6ghz doh.

Even at 4K maxed (8xMSAA) there's visible aliasing

Not playing at those settings ofcourse :) But I have tested quite a few things to get a locked 60 FPS and good IQ.

Does the OcUK crew play TDM/Siege etc? I'm stuck in a crew that does sweet FA and trying to find one that has a lot of players that play all the different missions.

my main complaint about the SP side of things is the on the hood cam is soooo bumpy it makes me ill....yet that it the view I really want to use. :S

It's due to the FOV, its terribad. You might want to try the FOV mod.

Whoever isn't on the OCUK crew I kill, hunting people down multiple times (yeah I know, I troll people so what ? :D )

But then there's that dreaded passive mode and I have to find another server :(

No you don't have have them on with my SC GTX 980.

Strange, TB has 2 x 980s and I'm sure he said he had to turn them off. I am probably wrong though, It was late when I watched it.

With a 970 you have to make a few sacrifices to get it running smooth at 60fps and those settings are one of them.

You can see my settings above m8 with the fps showing. In fact I will just re link it:

But I am only running at 1920x1080 so that might be why.

Read the nvidia guide it tells you textures are blury like there's no AF applied if ERM I think shaders or post fx is too low. Bump shaders to high should fix it. Or whatever the guide said caused it.

Yup turn Shaders up to at least High.

Yeah that was it, now set to high and ii it's no longer like it was. Very high was much better but fps tanked! Thanks!

No idea what's happened to my game. It was running perfectly since release I haven't changed any settings but since yesterday I'm getting horrific stutter it gets unplayable, tested a few other games and they are fine so it's not my hardware dying.

Sp is pretty good so far though the cops ai is very hit or miss, shot 2 cops then sat on the edge of the water in a boat and somehow the remaining cops just couldn't manage to find me even when i was honking the horn with a helicopter flying overhead. Characters are interesting.

The games still seems to have that "resetting" thing thats been in most of them, cause havoc blow things up, turn a corner or so, go back and everythings sterile again. Suppose thats the price of having a world that large. :o

Further to my post about GTA V artifacting which was cured by altering the post fx setting i'm now getting this. :(

I actually noticed something similar in Cities Skylines although much less obvious than this. Card is at stock factory settings (not OC'd as in my sig) and temps in the 60's.

Is my card nerfed? :(
