***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

It's a great feature :D. Gives you a chance to get your own back.

Loved my rocket carnage when we all dropped out the races lol. Laughing like a maniac :D.

Pain in the arse getting lobbies going though :(.

Further to my post about GTA V artifacting which was cured by altering the post fx setting i'm now getting this. :(

I actually noticed something similar in Cities Skylines although much less obvious than this. Card is at stock factory settings (not OC'd as in my sig) and temps in the 60's.

Is my card nerfed? :(

That looks like GPU errors from overclocking/overheating!

Lower clocks and see what happens. ;)

good fun online tonight with a bunch of guys not played with before.

And Nexus, there's something seriously wrong with you, I'm beginning to worry about you mate lmao.

GTX 780, i5 2500k, Both overclocked, Constantly getting 60 to 100 FPS online 1080p 144hz monitor, Everything is maxed except MSAA

Very similar setup here other than a 2560x1080 Ultrawide Monitor and am getting similar FPS.

I made a wee video of my settings.

Turned on adaptive sync (nvidia control panel) as someone had suggested it would help FPS. Two crashes in 3 hours, hadn't had any crashes in the previous 20!

It's turned back off now lol

Does the OcUK crew play TDM/Siege etc? I'm stuck in a crew that does sweet FA and trying to find one that has a lot of players that play all the different missions.

Aitor and that? I thought you guys only played Arma? :p

But yes, on the unofficial TS (first post), we were playing TDM & Siege earlier, as well as racing. Some times there's about 15 of us.

Is anyone having problems like me with video dropping completely on DisplayPort?

I can't ctrl+alt+del, I have to do a hard reboot.

To me, that looks like classic overheating on the GPU...

I'm a bit worried about what I'll do after the last Heist.
I'm halfway through the fourth and I feel like they should've locked them for one each 20 levels or so, because going through the last one will feel like completing the game.

But that's probably me wanting a mmorpg "end-game" where it's not intended.

Yes thanks for the invite, much better than playing with randoms. Though apart from yourself, I had no idea who everyone was!

Anyone having an issue where when the game restarts after altering settings it just restarts with lower settings in a window (i guess safe mode)

It worked fine at first and I played up past the first scenario then it bombed out when I tried going into first person mode. Since then when I try and set high res textures it just reset to windowed safe mode

At least in modded GTA4 it still ran in mega high settings even if you did get 6fps!

edit - in online mode it worked strangely. However it then crashed saying computer low on memory and to close GTAV. Checking memory there was over 3.5gb left (8gb ram)

Or was this video memory?

Didn't manage to get anything done in multiplayer tonight. I tried the Prison Break heist with a couple of randoms, fought our way out of prison, one guy jumped in our escape van as the driver, I got in the back as the gunner and as soon as I aimed my rifle the game completely locked up wasting half an hour of my life. Decided to reload the game and try again, got halfway through a setup mission and the game froze requiring a ctrl + alt + del in order to get back to the desktop.

Gave up on multiplayer and went to carry on with the singleplayer but that also froze mid-way through a long mission. I haven't had any crashes like this in the 70 or so hours of play, my temperatures look good and no unequal loads on the CPU or GPU, this is all since the latest update so I'm not sure if it's just coincidence or if something has changed for the worse.
