**** Sony Xperia Z3 ****

Its quite good in normal conditions but the Sony's are better, though the screen is 5.96" so far bigger than you may like?

Aye too big for me I think! Just watched a video Z2 vs Z3 and its made me want the z3. I don't however want to be paying £400 really! Shame that Lumia OS is so horribly lacking in app support, the 930 has a fantastic camera.

I think its back to the Z3 compact idea or not at all!

I've been trying to decide between a Z3 or Z3C for a few months now, so indecisive, I might buy one eventually! :D

Holy **** don't think I'll be taking Stamina mode off again - went to sleep last night with 68% battery, woke with 11!

That just means you've got a rogue app sapping power. Stamina mode is just brushing it under the rug. Do some diagnostic work and find the problem rather than hiding it!

I charged and unplugged at 1am before getting into bed and started catching up with some youtube videos. Ended up with youtube app being active for almost 3 hours. Currently at my work desk with 79% battery. That's been on 4G since 1AM and with no stamina mode enabled.

As I said, check your apps, you have one that is consuming battery.

I think that you lot have convinced me enough to get one of these as my next phone.

Also has anyone had any problems with the phones build quality?

Build quality is as good as any other phone. My only issue is with a creak on the volume rocker but that may have been caused by inserting it into the car phone holder the wrong way so it got squuezed by the holder.

My issues with the phone are:

Volume and Power button being next to each other
Power and volume being in the centre of phone opposite the magnetic charger so very difficult to have phone charged when driving on the type of holder I like
Not having an open usb port - having the water proofing is more important but it is a pain having a cover

Otherwise everything else I love on the phone, battery life is fantastic, the interface is good and the phones form factor is very nice

So, i had a Z3 for about 6 months, and have been very happy with it. The other day i bent down and the back glass shattered/cracked.

Gutted, but amazingly Amazon sent me out a replacement ASAP and i now need to send my damaged one back (big props Amazon!).

When my new one arrived i immediately fitted a tempered glass protector to it, before doing anything else (only used the matt Sony one on my old phone).

Finally get round to using new phone for calls etc (not sent old one back yet) and i notice that everyone sounds really nasal on speakerphone, and to a lesser extent in the earpiece also. Playing music through it now, and it sounds "thin" like i'm playing it in a tiled room, but bearable.

Is this typical, or is the replacement a bit ropey? Is it to be expected with this type of screen protector? Somehow interfering with the speakers? I should add both the top and bottom oval are completely clear of the glass, and are not blocked...

Is your screen protector blocking the speaker vents? Only reason sound would be thin is if they were being blocked really.

My Copper one is not as bassy as the black one I had so there's definitely some sound variation but it's on par with any other phone either way really. The bottom speaker on my Copper is louder than the top one though. I found the same on the black, one speaker is slightly louder than the other when listening to stereo sounds.

Myboy is the best one I have found, its free but you cannot save game progress. I ended up buying it as play loads of ROMS.
