Adult + Offspring = Insanity?

IMO Parents are doing a terrible job of it these days. Kids being bad isn't entirely their own fault, it's just the way they were raised. Now back in the day (last century) you had discipline...

Yeah kids didn't do anything wrong in the last century did they.

I got into all sorts of minor scrapes when I were a lad and vividly remember being shown the error of my ways by teachers, the local beat bobby and my parents.

This was back when all of the above were allowed to provide a short contact counselling session when a verbal reprimand didn't effectively discourage bad behaviour.

So you think if parents and teachers etc could hit kids like they did in the old days we would have the issues we have now?

So who were the people hitting/not hitting the mods/rockers/skinheads/punks/football hooligans etc back in the "last century"? I'm sure if you asked almost all of the above demographic they would say at one time or another, a parent/teacher/police officer gave them a clip round the ear.

Didn't work did it, they still caused some form of trouble.

Ugh one of the worst kind of parents "It's none of your business" types.
I've never had to deal with them, but you hear about them all the time. I don't know how I'd react, it's just too funny.

Goes next to the one's who've given up trying to discipline in any shape or form.
