*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

The photos this thing takes are stunning, but does anyone find them a little dull and lacking in colour? More indoor/dark shots.
 
I expect the phone to cost me between £450 and £500 when I buy, if I bought it now I could get it for £475 to £530 off a safe ebay seller or o2 and put it with my £360 over 2 years sim so between £810 and £890 not too bad at all imho for the standard s6 so about the £35 month I've always paid.

Just Upgraded from an S4 to an S6. been due an upgrade for a while and went in wanting to get an m9 as the change between my S3 and S4 didnt feel like much of an upgrade back then. However the chap was confident that i wouldn't be disappointed with the S6 so took his word for it!

much better build than the S4 for sure.
 
Caved in and ordered from Amazon.de. Wonder what .uk did to make Samsung rage though, talk about awkward silence!

So what are the favourite accessories for these? Are people going caseless mostly?

Leather pouch for me, but it is very slippery and I haven't seen any cases I like yet.
 
I picked up a standard s6 64gb yesterday. So far I am really impressed. It's really nice and responsive and ee mobile data is blisteringly fast. I am currently getting 83mb down and 14 up.

This is my first smart phone in over 2 years after my last one broke so really impressed.
 
I've noticed a few legit german/italian sellers selling via eBay at around £450 delivered for the standard S6 32gb, so it seems to be coming down.

Case is necessary for this. Its slippery as a snake.
Jungle finally has one version of the S6. Clove has had a price drop.
 
Hello, Guys I just returned my Samsung Galaxy s6 Back to The samsung uk online store how long does a refund take. (Returned last week Wednesday)

I'm never going to be using samsung uk online ever again. I asked for a replacement device they said they had some error in their system they cannot process a replacement device only refund only.
 
Hi, i been using sim free s6 edge 64gb for 2 weeks now, i have moved from the HTC M8,

always been worried about slowdown over time with samsung from past experiences, it still loads apps fast , i actually like touchwiz look and menus

but i do get slight lags and stutters, for an example i have bbc news app as a widget when scrolling through the widget its not very smooth, on my htc m8 its smooth, once in the app its smooth

also when on flip board then scroll right to get back into homescreen then another right scroll to get bbc new widget, it wont let me scroll, i have to always give it a second go for it to scroll, when disable flipboard its fine

another thing i noticed, when looking at the edge time etc and flipping it over then going back into home screen, the phone will re draw ,

i know these are little things, but they do bother me as this is such a high spec phone and a lot of money, i have used in the past HTC M7 and M8 and they run super smooth still,

i have in past used galaxy s2, s3 ,s4 note 3 all had same issues, i was hoping samsung would have sorted this now but guess not, dont get me wrong the phone is great, rapid charging, takes great pictures, fingerprint works so well, its faster then using a PIN / Pattern

i actually like the menus and general look of touchwiz , thought this would be sorted now, its strange there are lower cheaper phones that run smoother with lower spec, why cant they ever get it right ?
 
Mine arrived this morning... woop... nice phone... GORGEOUS screen & seems to be better at picking up useable phone signal in my middle-of-nowhere home than the iphone 6+ :)

I haven't seen anyone complain of lag and redraws are a thing as the past, Galaxy S4 suffered with them after launch but even that was addressed in updates.

No lag at all here, I'm using Nova Launcher however but not because touchwiz was laggy, but because there was no way to sort apps alphabetically with touchwiz. :mad:
