Project cars benchmarks

Something not right if a 290x can not push over 60fps.. I'll be holding off buying for now. Not a car game fan anyway just thought I would give this a shot.

Wow, pretty glad I'm rocking Nvidia in both of my gaming machines. I might buy this. Got a half decent review score on Bit-tech.

It's a case of driver issues surely. There's no way a 660Ti should beat a 290X in anything.

Yeah it's pretty clear that they have spent an awful long time optmising for Nvidia and Intel and simply couldn't be bothered with AMD.

I know they were under the gun to get it out for release so maybe that's why.

seen a post from a dev on steam forum before saying they been working with both through out the games development.

Clearly a driver issue.

Ooooh this is looking good for Nvidia at 1440P, 1 x 980 max settings minus AA is 75-79fps with a non existent overclock, Awesome sauce !

Pity when it rains it halves the FPS though.

Shame AMD is so low though, Hope they get drivers sorted :)

Well I never, the forum member who has been slating pCARS for months here, is the one to make a special thread for the benchmark results that give controversial and distorted results. ;)

Which track or tracks are they basing that benchmark on?

As a customer I'd want to know where AMD were when both Intel and NVidia were offering their support to the developer, it's an all too common occurence the way AMD pop up after release blaming everyone but themselves for lacklustre performance.

what the difference if its a nvidia title ?

how many amd games do we have benchmarks for ? :p

battlefield is a amd title, thief, dirt, tombraider just a few recent ones lol.

as for scuppered biased results they are proper results.

i think amd will give a better driver but the performance still is terrible.i aint a nvdia fanboy either i prefer amd and have stated this numerous times.

Totally ridiculous state of affairs. either Nvidia has paid these guys to gimp the game for AMD cards or the devs have totally ignored any testing on anything but Nvidia.

For a community funded game I think this is p*** poor. No other game has ever performed like this. All AMD owners should boycott the game imo.

Guys, wait until you've either played it yourself or have some reliable breakdowns with proper details of what settings are being used and whether some of those settings are using gamesworks features.

Personally, I don't put much stock in that site and it's pcars results, as the last time they did this with an old build, their results were pretty similar to these and nowhere close to the results I was getting.
Can't find the link, but I'm pretty sure it was the same site anyway...
Conspiracy theories aside, I don't think this has much to do with drivers.

That's it then, AMD are ****ed :D Esp when it comes to getting Crossfire working :p

Not really. Crossfire works pretty well in older builds, so I don't see why it wouldn't in the finished game.

A somewhat self defeating argument, with AMD's already thin market share, if AMD users aren't buying the game there's even less reason to spend money fixing the problems

I didn't realise AMD and nVidia had to spoon feed devs when they are making games? Seen as it's a nVidia title id asume that nVidia would obviously work along side this title as it would be for titles where they are AMD titles such as battlefield.

AMD and nVidia should only have to do driver optimisations but its apparent that AMD need to do all the work to fix all the performance problems from the way your talking. And probably shoot magic out of their behinds.
