Trying to remember an old arcade game .....

OK fellow OcUK'ers ..... I'm trying to find an old arcade game that I used to play when I was a kid. I used to be really good at this game, almost clocking the damn thing with 1 credit.

It was a vertical scrolling fighter game featuring an A10 bomber, very much like Raiden, etc. You flew the plane killing planes and ground units, with an occasional boss fight.

I know it wasn't Aero Fighters or Aero Fighters 2 as they are both multiplayer, the game I'm looking for was only single player. I think it was made by Taito or Capcom but I don't remember, graphics-wise it was close to Twin Hawk.

Certainly sounds like it was this game. I believe it's available on the Wii virtual arcade. There were also a few sequels.

Much later game than 1942/1943. I think title may have had tiger or something like that in (it wasn't Tiger Shark).

Looked at screens for Flyer Tiger and Flying Shark but that's not it

It wasn't shaded out as far as I remember though ..... it was definitely an A10. The game is probably too obscure to find, thanks for your efforts guys.

GigaWing has an a10 bomber in it and is a 'later' shooter (1999) but that's two player.

I remember that, I think I had that on Commadore 64

I also had 1942 on Commadore
