Just wondering do I really need a gtx980, would a gtx970 suffice? I will still be getting a 1440p 27" screen and want to get the best out of games?

The H100i GTX does not fit in the Corsair 250D using the Maximus VII Impact. Its 2-3mm too wide. I have tried all different ways of fitting it.
Confirmed in this thread over at Corsair http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=138840
I will need the H100i.

Nah its fine mate. I love the Corsair 250d. I'll just get a H100i and return the H100i GTX hopefully.

Ok so I have rma'd the H100i GTX and bought myself a H100i (refurbished at a good price too). I'll report back

Fitted the H100i and it fit perfectly (quite snug though). The radiator mount screws Corsair supply with the H100i are really long but I did read that they are fine but will cut into the fins. I find this a bit daft so I ended up cutting the screws down a little.
