Transexual using female changing rooms?

Breasts are one of the most obvious traits of sexual dimorphism in humans and as they are sexually selected for. Sexy boobs equals sexy grand children. The notion that we are 'educated by society' as males to find breasts attractive is totally absurd - the attraction is genetic. Equally absurd is the notion they are not a 'sexual organ'.

Random trivia time - enlarged breasts are found during periods of lactating in primates, which is also a signal that females are unable to reproduce. It's hypothesised that enlarged breasts were selected for by our ancestors as it encouraged monogamy by hiding the tell tale signal of when females were unable to reproduce - hence 'tricking' males into thinking they were always ready to reproduce and providing for them, benefiting those females with larger breasts, leading towards the sexual dimorphism we see today.

Bingo: breasts are a sexual indicator, as well as for feeding young. The human equivalent of a baboon's big red arse. If they were only for nursing, they would be much smaller - just like our great ape cousins'.

I dont think that should necessitate them being covered up, however.

Hence there a big feminist movement about breast feeding in restaurants, yes it natural, yes it's not offensive to anyone, but is it really necessary to conduct in a polite environment?

On that basis one could argue that male masturbation is also acceptable in a restaurant, as masturbation is also natural but I don't want to be seeing that shiz when I'm eating my dinner!

Where should pansexual people change then? They like all genders.

Practically I don't think anyone is going to get raped in H&M by a bloke with lipstick on, so as long as you can close a curtain then nobody is going to see anything.

If it is open plan then he's going to feel way more uncomfortable than any cis female.

Women are always going on about sexual equality, well here you are then, put your money where your mouth is and let trans people change where they like, it doesn't bother me.

the breasts are not a sexual organ no matter how you wish to argue it, they are a sexual characteristic.

that is just completely contradictory.

enlarged breast = not available for reproduction (as they are already 'up the spout')

enlarged breasts trick males into thinking they were always ready to reproduce

but the most important part of all of the above is the fact is simply an hypothesis, a theory, bit of a guess really?

there's no hard facts to back that up (that I'm aware off)

and yes we have been 'educated' to find breasts sexually appealing. why for example do many tribal societies, where the women wander round topless not find the female breast particularly interesting? a number of studies (you can find it online, I aint linking to it for fear of causing offence as it contains pics etc) found that heterosexual western females displayed increased arousal while being shown pictures of naked female breasts (increased blood flow to the vaginal area) while women from tribal cultures did not.

There was nothing specific in your post, but it was to forestall one of the usual daft arguments raised which always seems to imply that gay men in particular are unable to control themselves.

Again my apologies, I was not for one second trying to imply that gay men are unable to control themselves, which was why I also referenced lesbians.

Hell if men and women all changed openly in the same room/area it's more likely the heterosexual man would struggle to control himself! :p

What if you're born a woman but have the penis of an unformed conjoined twin on your arm - which changing room do you use then?

Then you have the common decency to spend you life at home locked in a darkened attic being fed raw fish heads by your family, who fear and loathe you in equal amounts.

If my son told me he was gay, I'd initially be upset but I could live with it and welcome anyone he bought home.

If he was like the subject being discussed I'd be ashamed.

Hang on a minute. You'd be perfectly fine with him being gay but if he has a diagnosed medical condition you'd be ashamed?

This whole discussion is nuts. There is absolutely nothing wrong with unisex changing, and I'm not sure that anyone is really suggesting that we all change out in the open - I'd imagine that very few people would be comfortable with being in an open unisex changing room unless they're nudists.

It's literally just a cultural thing, and with the increased acceptance of medical conditions which cause people to mentally be a different gender to what their physical body is, this is an issue which we'll have to tackle seriously.

I have to say, I'd find it very strange if I went into a male changing room, and found a woman in pants there...I don't think that's cool, but if it were unisex and we had cubicles, it wouldn't be an issue.
