I saw some fanboy fighting on a Facebook article about the 390X and it was amusing to witness.

Apparently the 390X will be 40% faster than the Titan X and cost £600 for the water cooled version.

Gotta love overly optimistic people :p

You just have to love internet journalism.

One minute it is going to be computex at the start of June.
Then they are sure it will be start of E3.
Next its the 18th which is the end of E3.
Then its a week after E3.
Now its the 24th, which is 12 days after E3, well that's nearer two weeks than one.

The only thing we are fairly sure about, is that on August 24th at the Hot chips event AMD plan to talk about the new architecture.

The way things are going it wouldn't surprise me if no consumers have cards at that point.

Lets just hope that the 18th is the launch and the 24th will be a definite availability day, with plenty of stock. Even though I feel these will sell quite well and no doubt there wont be enough stock to go round, meaning people will have to wait, just like with the TitanX.

The last time AMD launched a GPU they threw a massive independent party. Cost a few bob, too :)

Mind you they had every right to. A £450 GPU that stood toe to toe with the Titan.

Oh god please let the 390x be good. This year will be a washout if it's pony.

Why do you think AMDMatt has not posted much lately ?

He is halfway to Fiji for the party.:D

I'm in the market for a new GPU, I'm looking at getting the Titan X next week but if the rumors are to be believed that the 390X will be faster than the Titan X this put's me in a difficult situation as no one knows the release date of the 390X and I have trouble waiting months for things :p

Have a look at this article! Very interesting. AMD route yet again for me, best bang for buck!

I love these sites that link to the originating undisclosed source website and come up with 5 paragraphs of text that are bigger than the original.

One thing worth noting is this

話雖如此,18 日首波上市的都是「rebrand」的 Radeon R7 360、R7 370 與 R9 380 系列打頭陣,至於 Fiji 晶片的 R9 390 與 R9 390X 則需等到 24 日才會上市。

If you are going to post about the impending 300 series release at least put something thats from a more reliable source.

The rumours about the release all seem to surface from this vague article.

Note the word "rebrand". :)

Having said that, on the 18th the first wave of the market are " rebrand " the Radeon R7 360, R7 370 and R9 380 series to lead the charge , as Fiji wafer R9 390 and R9 390X need to wait until the 24th will be listed .

Prior to this , AMD stock clearing in the terminal market movements are very frequent, in addition to mobilizing R9 285 wafers outside the terminal price , part of the third plant recently also for R9 280 wafer sales. Perhaps before we can expect to see Fiji also listed with the long- rumored NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti market, after all, between the GTX 980 and GTX TITAN X there are still many gaps to be filled.

IF those charts are anywhere near the truth Nvidia are in serious trouble as AMD if they do their usual pricing are really going to start ruling the roost.

Plus I bet it will make TX owners a tad annoyed, Not the rich ones but the normal people who just buy 1............ :p

I think people need to stop comparing the 390X to the TitanX for this sort of thing and look at how they are going to use the cards instead. Both cards are likely to have similar performance but paying extra for a single 12gb card to use @1080p or 1440p is not good when you can get the same performance from a cheaper 8gb 390X.

On the other hand if you are going to use 3 cards @2160p 12gb of VRAM is the way to go for performance and longevity.
