Holiday Recommendations?

Naples is the roughest place i have been, choose very carefully where you stay!

I read all the stories about how terrible Naples was before I went. It couldn't be further from the truth, I stuck out like a sore thumb there, being tall and blond, no one troubled me once, compared to my hometown Gloucester its a daily occurrence "av u gotta quid mate" in fact I would rate Napolians the second most friendly and helpful people I've ever met on my travels. I would rate London far rougher than Naples.

You every actually used holiday pirates? I saw them but never really looked at them. Also anyone every used wowcher?

Holiday Pirates just link to the airline/hotel/car hire websites. They occasionally post package holidays from Thomas Cook and so on. I don't think they actually sell the holidays themselves.

No i have never used them, but i will be next year. I have notifications of destinations set up on the android app for a few places i have in mind. Just waiting for the right holiday to pop up.

Like i say depends where you stay, where i stayed in central Naples it was like the bronx we even saw someone shooting up on the street, the guest house was nice though. Only stayed there to go Pompeii

I know you want to stay away from Spain however when I was around your age me and the then gf (now wife!) went for a 2 week holiday to Tossa De Mar in Spain.

I think it cost around £500 per person for 2 weeks half board in September staying in the Grand Bahia Princess I think it was called.

Fantastic little place with some nice eateries and also a nice walk to the sea front where there are a few bars to have a drink, overlooking the sea whilst watching the world go by!

Fully recommended.

I don't know if this has been said, but Budapest.

I went this time last year (although had been before that) and spent a week wandering the city and exploring. I got lost so many times meandering down random streets, but the city has such a unique and vibrant feel I really didn't mind. Beautiful buildings, food, drink and people. Had some amazing local experiences there too away from the tourists. Amazingly cheap too.

Iceland

Prague + Vienna

Highly recommend both, easily my favorite city breaks I've done so far. Went to Florence last summer, wasn't a fan particularly, and I had a car too so went down to Sienna as well. Food is great though, but for sightseeing and evening strolls the above is much better.

The wife and I have stayed there twice, relaxing holiday on both occasions

I slyly dropped "oh let's look at some holidays for next year" to find a good place for the two of us. Ended up finding two really nice places in Rhodes but that Spain looks really nice. Might have to see what she thinks of that one. Thanks for all the recommendations guys.
