Check the front wheel axle. I had a similar problem where when I put power down there would be a creak on each revolution. Naturally, like yourself I thought it could be the BB. It wasn't. It turned out to be the front wheel axle which needed a re-grease.

Another thing to check is always welcome mate! Thanks :)

I'm getting a random intermittent click which sounds like its from the front end of the bike. I've tightened all the stem bolts and faceplate bolts. I need to take the headset apart to make sure it's not that, but I've not bothered yet. It is starting to do my head in though.

Nice, 10s faster than my best time up there. I'm aiming to get under 7 minutes for that climb this year anyway, so that's just one more thing to push for!

As an aside, a guy I've ridden with occasionally is just a beast on the hills, and on pretty much any climb I look at he is just way ahead. Like if I look at the times for people I follow there's usually a cluster of people around me, some slower, mostly faster, and then him just stupidly fast. So on Shaley my time is 7:08, then there's you at 6:58, another chap at 6:48, and then this guy at 5:35. Unbelievable. And that's the case for pretty much any hill I look at within 50 miles of here :p

No, dont ride it.
It would be fine but it'll put a lot of stress on the other spokes and they'll be more likely to break in future.

Went on a club social ride tonight without first checking the distance. That was a nice surprise 50 miler.

Got home an hour ago and eaten *all* of the food in the house.

You do seem to not have the best luck. Broke your living room window?

Been one of those weeks.

Could list off about 6 things that have gone wrong this week, but ill only end up braying me head off the floor so ill just let you know what happened today.

Tried to pull the plastic from the frame to get the window out to get the sofas in, didn't go to plan, instead I made a proper nice corner to corner crack across a 33"x42" Sealed double glazed window that didn't exactly make the landlord smile :) no danger though as I'm on it! Then I need to fix the spoke!

Bye bye Mavic fund..

Edit: Maybe not! Rosebikes have Mavic Aksium One wheels for £115 plus 10% off this weekend plus £10 voucher for first orders making the total sub £100!

I hate being busy at work. Been 3 weeks since i was last on my bike. Had no motivation at all with deadlines for various jobs. Might have to force myself into going out tonight for a short spin round a few hills.
