any help/advice greatly appreciated:
as per my other threads, i did my first build in March. Surprisingly, all went well, got the machine up and running, few things installed, Win7 updates etc etc. a few days later i finished the build, putting in my second SSD and a hybrid drive, and i didn't fire the machine up, thinking nothing untoward would happen except perhaps Windows telling me it had found new hardware.
having just finally got my new puter room ready, i fired the machine up and i'm getting nothing. the MOBO (ASUS Z97a) has the white lights, the case fans fire up, there the little "blipblip" bit at the get-go but that's about it. my Noctua isn't spinning but i don't think it fires up until the temp's up? i tried my vid cable in the 980 ports and the MOBO ports just in case but i'm getting nothing.
rest of the kit:
corsair rm750 PSU
16GB Kingston hyper x

TIA

The heatsink fan most certainly will spin at all times.

If it was fine before being moved around then its going to be a lose connection or part.

You will probably have to take the gfx card out to use the onboard connections.

The basic parts needed to work are,

Board/CPU/Cooler and a stick of RAM.

You dont need any drives connected to at least get the POST screen to display.
