For the lolz...

Check out that grip, back angle and stance width.

This particular laydee also happens to be the 75kg C&J world record holder. Just to show that - ultimately - how you squat depends on any number of factors, but a key one is what your objectives (training outcomes) are.

And no. It's not fair.

On your traps. Normally around the point you can feel your neck become your your back (sounds dumb, but feel the movement of your vertebra).

Don't rest it on your vertebrae or the space in between, whatever you do, however! :D

"Please the Dear Leader or say hello to a salvo of anti-aircraft fire" is probably good motivation for their athletes...

Going to Bodypower on the Saturday, really cba though as Saturday is the worst day to go. I've always gone on Friday in the past as you get the most freebies and it's quiet enough to walk around without having to push through the crowds

Worked yesterday for a few hours' it was very busy. The busiest i have ever seen it to be fair. Gymshark  was like a swarm, they give away a premium t-shirt free every-time you go to the stand. People were going mental!

Working Sunday at the Bodypower stand, which is next to Gymshark and EHP. the queue there was like an hour for a photo with Ross, Jaco, Andreia etc.

I fell sorry for anyone going today :(

I wondered why the gymshark queue was so insane, was like 2 hours long apparently. I thought it was due to the Hodge Twins

Gains have been made! I hit a 130kg high-bar squat, nice 15kg pb! And I also hit an 80kg bench, 5kg pb. I couldn't be bothered pausing the bench because I was tired but it went up all the same!

Really enjoyed today but I'm definitely gonna go on the Friday next year. Gymshark/EHP were so so so busy which was a shame because I wanted to declare my love to Sophie Arvebrink. Chatted to Benny Magnusson for a little bit and he was a really happy guy. Kai seemed to spend a lot of time talking to people. Didn't even bother trying to meet Phil Heath, the gifted booth was just a storm of people with nothing going on.

Bro, for such a scrawny guy with a beard, that is very strong. Great work! :)

I need more of a beard to counteract the lack of muscle. I'm now in a good position to start making progress. It's taken so long to get back to this point and work around various mobility issues I've had for the past 6 months (knees, hip, elbow, shoulder and apparently ankle too). It looks like everything is near enough fixed so things should be on the up! I also have 2 weeks to dab with some weightlifting too so this should be fun!

Got back from my hols yesterday. My aim of doing BW exercises everyday turned into 2 short sessions for the entire 2 and a half weeks.

Just got back from the gym and done only ~80% of my working weight on squats, OHP, deads, bench press and pull ups.
My legs haven't even waited until tomorrow to start hurting. :( I'm gonna be ripped a new one tomorrow morning I feel...

Went saturday to body power, to busy to meet anyone a little miffed tbh but should have expected it. Couldn't be bothered to stand and que to meet people etc was just insane, didnt realise Gymshark gave away a tshirt though or i might have que'd lol i thought it was for Hodge Twins which i would have liked to meet too.

It really depends on how strong you are when you're starting out - you want it to be light enough that you're able to add weight for a good few weeks before it starts getting challenging (in order to practice the movements, embed the motor patterns for them and have some training momentum), but not so light it's not really providing any resistance - a 5ft8, 60kg desk jockey with no history of resistance training will probably need to start lower on everything than a 6ft2 100kg manual labourer who has never trained in a gym but pushes/pulls heavy things at work every day.
