Anybody store their bikes on a wall stand in the house?

Shed is too unsafe, I cant anchor into the ground and I have a large wall in my office upstairs which I could hang the bike on. Any recommendations for this?

Would like something that doesn't look crap as the wife is already against the idea! :o

need to spend as little as possible or even some kind of nice DIY job would be preferable.

clug :)

Awesome, thanks! Reading online the TKR540 to 105 is a fairly common upgrade anyway! :)

When I eventually get round to stripping and powder coating and upgrading my TDF I'll be putting Claris calipers on in place of the old Tektro ones, so I'm hoping that even low end Shimano ones will be better than years old Tektro ones.

Didn't you post up a picture of it a few weeks ago?

These may be worth keeping an eye on then, Tiagra with 44% off - making them cheaper than Sora! You may even find both pairs for £20 by the time you're doing the work ;)

Ordered my 105 5800's at £20. I was torn slightly as the Ultegra 6700 are only a few quid more (£28). Then with Ultegra 6800 at £37 it's more a question of where you stop 'upgrading'!

I figured for £20 I'll happily upgrade the fronts too if I notice a big change with the rears :)

You think its worth the £1250 they're quoting?

I've selected the cheapest wheelset they offer as I have a brand new set of Prolite Bracciano A42 wheels to go on whatever new bike I end up with.

I'm supposed to be waiting till end of the year for a new bike, but I'm getting itchy feet. :D

Well, the R872 is a very good frame. It's apparently the same as some De Rosa frame, so it does have some prestige. And yeah, once you bang Ultegra on there that's a pretty good price.

So I'm cycling Liverpool to Sheffield tomorrow. We're due to have heavy showers all day, with 20 miles winds (tailwinds, mercifully) and it's going to be down to 7 degrees going through Chapel En Le Frith. Joy. I'm going to need a suitcase just for all the changes of clothes I'll be needing to get through the day. I'll be starting out in shorts, base layer, jersey and arm warmers, and probably a gilet, and I think I'll take a proper waterproof and leg warmers as well, just in case.

Here's a little clip of me having my legs waxed yesterday and moaning like a right girl...

I feel I should have donated more. Going to be a hell of an effort tomorrow! How are the legs after the shaving? Haha!

Good luck, I hope all goes well!!

Weather looks horrific today :/ Hammered it down earlier and now the winds here. Can't wait for my commute :/

That would be me, I haven't actually fitted them to the bike yet as I'm waiting until I purchase the new one & fitting them to that.

They look very nice though & feel well built, nearly weakened the other day when I serviced the bike & considered fitting them but managed to resist ! :D

booo!! ride them ;)

I may have mentioned it, I've got 2.. but but buutt... I haven't got a drill to drill the holes in a wall yet so they've been sitting there :o

What shifters is it you have? If it's the 5800/6800 stick with the 5800 calipers. 6700 will feel different as it's the older brake for the older levers.

Wow....missed the boat on that bike mount. Amazon is now unavailable, checked and ebay had them for £35 this morning. Just went to buy and now at £69.99.
