Steve Jobs (2015)

Given that this is Sorkin, Boyle and Fassbender I think this is going to be ever so slightly better than the guy from That 70s Show or whatever the other one was..!

I think the appeal there was that the guy is a doppelganger of Steve Jobs when he was younger. It really is quite remarkable how much he looks like a young Steve Jobs.

I'm not even a fan of Steve Jobs, I think he was a pretty crappy person, but I find the extreme likeness interesting.

Obvious once you Google the cast - it's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Turd.

The point being that a film could have an extremely accomplished gang of people making it and still turn out to be utter guff.

Well the downfall of that movie was Lucas. If he wasn't involved it might have been good.

They're just releasing one each year and doing slight updates and improvements that barely each new movie but people will go out of their minds for ;)

Yet Pirates is still the best jobs movie and I cant see it being bettered ever really.
I liked Kutcher as Jobs but the script was horrible.

The subject material isnt even that interesting - he was a massive ****, that made money, ****ed a lot of people off, got fired, made more money and died. Great.

There seems to be a lot of hate for SJ in this thread  I don't 'get' Apple fanboys but I find the whole story quite amazing, just as I do Mark Zuckerberg etc.

What if it was a film about Bill gates?

Whilst part of it is to do with not liking Jobs I'm not sure I'd want to see a film about Bill Gates either, whom I actually like. Saying that as it's Adam Sorkin and I am a fan of his work, I may give this a go but it'll depend on reviews.

Probably because Google give you free stuff, Apple rip you off

Why do we need films about people who are successful. Books yes, but films no.

Social Network never appealed to me and neither does this. Surely will be a Bill Gates one soon enough.

Autobiographies are good. A media where you can really follow their life story. Trying to pack someones life into 2 hours, if it's even worth it, is just pointless.
