Witcher 3

At the start, came out of the pub and faced with 3 guys who started on me....I punched them and now the villagers won't speak to me to give me info!

Also, I am so confused with the controls, how do I bring out the main map and how do change/assign items to the vitality (up/down) buttons?

Map, you press the motion pad - and hit Map and In the Inventory you can equip and un-equip consumables (food/water) if thats what you mean?

This game looks amazing, but then i tried it on a new model Panasonic 4K LED and it looked even better, So much so I'm bringing one home tomorrow.

Can't wait to explore it more now.

laughed out loud by the dwarf blacksmiths reaction to my suggestion he wasn't endearing himself to the local populace

also..am I possibly the only person on the world who died in the opening dream sequence in the castle...I went for a look out on the balcony of the bedroom and jumped over the side by accident

Meditating will also restore your health i think, if you need to heal between fights.

Incredible game so far... an open world that I actually find fun to explore, could have sat up all night playing :o.

Anyone playing this on Hard?

ps3ud0

LOL I'm thinking of going down to easy from normal.......... I'm shocking at the combat and seem to die to easily, maybe my fingers are too slow. Never played a witcher game before so still trying to adjust. Game does look amazing tho and full of things to do it's a bit overwhelming tbh.

Haha I did too on the tutorial, jumped off the ledge by accident. I found the controls at first pretty sensitive. Lol

I nearly died taking on the drowners by the burned down village getting to the treasure, had a sliver of energy left, thank the Lord for igni.

Annoyingly the controls are different to Witcher 2 so it's taking a while to get used to them.

Anyone else try it on with Yennifer at the start?

She also told me off for fingering her
toiletries.

Being half decent at the dodge and roll seems to be a big help. First time I came across a wraith or whatever they are I was lvl1 and it warned me against fighting it but I just made sure I didn't get hit much and it was fine. Going toe to toe with large groups or strong enemies is not a good idea though.

When they block and counter you can lose a huge amount of health. I also hate archers. Hitting anything with your crossbow is tricky and does nothing. They seem to hit you every time from about 50 yards away!

Tried to kill the devil in the well...failed miserably.

Thought it was very easy (Level 2), I just used the sign that casts magic to slow them and slashed with my silver sword. I'm only playing on the default difficulty though (2nd from top?)

Think the game is very good, had a worrying bug second time I played it though as it wouldn't load my saves first, then wouldn't load the title screen. I full reboot of the XO sorted it :o

Not massively into the crafting and alchemy yet as there is a lot to understand in terms of ingredients and materials, but the open world is fantastic.
