Nightfall strikes & raids (Vault of Glass & Crotas End) don't matchmake, so you need to be in a fireteam.

You can find raid groups on the Destiny Raid thread or on LFG

Not on the raids and stuff. You really need a full team on voice comms to be able to do them. Best way to do them is to find a friendly OCUK fireteam :)

I would just grind out some strikes till you get light 36 gear, depend on how much marks you have now you could basically be Level32 quickly. I would also recommend making 3x of the same characters, so 3 hunters, this means you can run the weekly 3 times and the NF 3 times.

I would make sure you get all 3 weekly's done so you get 27 strange coins a week to gear up form Xur. For NF and raids ask in the.

I did my first few raids with guys on hear, midgen for example is great at walking you through the raid's :p.
 
Fantastic runs last night with Mid_gen & Col_Jacko.

Blasted through the level 28 and 32 PoE and beat the level34 PoE after a couple of wipes on the latter stages (Those hive wizards on round 4.... :eek:). TBH overall I found the Cabal sections the hardest (especially with the level penalty on the 34 run). Once we got our strategy down though it went smoothly enough.

Managed to bag myself the Queen's Auto rifle with a very nice roll, Queen's Hand Cannon and the Queen's pulse with a nigh on perfect (for me) PvP roll. Also picked up the Etheric light, armour core and weapon core so now Pigtails is level 33.5 and rocking the 365 attack auto rifle (which is ruddy huge!).

Best drop of the night though was ...... *drum roll*....... HAWKAWESOME!!!! :D:D:D Finally the beast is mine!

Now I just need to get Bluey through the PoE and Moody through everything. :)

Have to agree with that, having got through my second PoE 34 run last night, the Cabel ones are definitely the hardest, yellow phalanx's & Centurions are a right pain when you get swamped :p Round 4 with Hive and Arc seems to be the easiest one now with the no enemies spawn till after you defuse the mines :D

Now not sure what to do now, have enough light to get one to lvl34, but thinking about waiting until ToO to see what I can get, or do lvl 32 on my hunter for the armour core and then getting the Judgment’s Chance to see if I can get a piece of amour for my main.

Well done on the hawkmoon, once you get used to it it's great fun in PvP :D
 
Not gonna have any time for ToO this week sadly. Might sneak in a 3rd 32 PoE on lunch today but that'll be me for the week most likely....be good to stash the armour core. My titan just needs boots for 34 now.

Did anyone go for the package thing from Variks? What does it drop? Kinda wish I hadn't spent the weapon core on the AR, but it does look cool :)

Yellow bar over-levelled phalanxes = teh suck. Looking forward to 34 :)

The package drops weapons and armour from PoE, so there is change if you get the right piece you only have to spend one EL to get you to 34 :D

It certainly has with the progression system.

Ascendant materials gone (no longer required to upgrade anything other than the old vault of glass armor)

Vanguard & Crucible Commendations gone

Crucible Mark awards doubled (4 for a loss 6 for a win)

Weapon Upgrades no only need tiny amounts of materials (usually 10 is enough to max it out instead of needing 120 +)

Any Legendary Weapon or Armor can be upgraded to max rank using Etheric Light meaning you can reach the max rank doing a variety of different PVE or PVP activities and isn't just limited to the Raid.

Can reforge the Wolves' Bane "The Gunsmith can reforge this weapon, changing its available upgrade but resetting any progression or ascension. To reforge, equip this weapon and speak to the Gunsmith."

Did HoW introduce the reforge option?
