Damage on a 2 month old car

Toyota are very good with warranty claims for paint from my experience. Had my 8 year old Prius aluminium bonnet replaced and repainted under warranty for corrosion even though it had been fixed and painted in the past. Not a single issue with that they said.

she doesn't seem to bothered she hates the car, im not surprised its a yaris and she didn't test drive it but thats another story.

Personally not surprised by the hate statement. They are a hateful, but typically Japanese little **** box.

in all honesty i dnt mind it its got a bit of power, the 1 thing i dont like is the back end seems to wash out like it needs ballast in the boot.

3 year pcp.

Then your only options are:

  1. Burn the car, claim on insurance (don't get caught)
  2. Pay off the settlement figure to hand the car back
  3. Deal with it

I would suggest option 3, since option 1 could result in prison, and option 2 will result in paying a lot of money for no car, but if it's really too much to handle then you'll have to weigh up the pros and cons.

and i was just saying if it was me i wouldn't want that car any more.

You wouldn't want a car anymore because of a minor dent in the door and a scratched mirror?

Hilarious :D

It won't get filled anyway it'll get a new door skin.

Ah so now the real issue, you have buyers remorse and hope this allows you a way out of it ;)

Who with any common sense would let their other half buy a car without test driving it first ? ?

We bought my other halfs car without a test drive (I drove it for a bit when we got there to make sure it was fine but that was after deposit and price agreed).

I got massively rear ended at 3200 miles (3 months) in my brand new car, damage to front and back... didn't get replaced and why should it? Hers would never get replaced for that small damage, no way no how... unless of course that mirror made its way into the cabin and the heating element caught the interior on fire.

^As above... someone drove into the back of my wife's car when it was 2 months old, damaged the paint/bumper/crumple zone/parking sensor and the car wasn't replaced (nor did we expect it to be).

"Can you give me a brand new car as mine has a damaged mirror and a little dent"

2nd word is "OFF" :D

before getting it fixed give her some tips on how to drive - you don't go fast over a brow of a hill, expecially on a country lane. and keep well to your side of the road. what if it was a tractor? she would be killed in a small yaris....
